the BIG "Hi, I'm new here!" topic part 55

Hi all, I’m “Cave of Mind” (it was the song I was listening to when I registered… my imagination wasn’t too active at the moment). I’m an undergrad studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley.

I’ve always been fascinated by dreams and sleeping in general. Although I only learned the proper term “lucid dream” a couple of weeks ago, I have been able to gain consciousness and control my dreams (albeit infrequently) since elementary school. I just started learning the techniques to induce lucid dreaming a few weeks ago - it’s my little pet project to motivate me to actually get some sleep.
So, basically, I’m keeping a dream journal and seeing what will come of my experiments. (I’ve had three lucid dreams since my first entry on Nov. 18 - so far, so good.)

So that’s my story. Hope to get to know some of you a little better if I have the time. (Finals are coming up soon - ahhhh! )

:welcome: COM. Youll find everything about LD’ing in here :cool_raz:

Hi, Cave of Mind, welcome to the forum. :welcome: Sounds like you’re off to a good start. Hope to see you posting!

 hello Cave of Mind, welcome to the LD4all forum

Well if inspiration hits you in the future, it is easy to change you nick in your profile (just click the profile link at the top of the page and change the name there  )
I might like Cave of Mind though and the words do have a slight link to dreams if you think of it

Trouble is … you can get to like the forum and chat so much, you still end up staying up late

If you are interested, we have a dream journal forum where you can make your own DJ topic to record your dreams  It would be great if you at least post your LDs there :content:

Good luck with your exams  I hope you do well

Hey,

I heard about lucid dreaming yesterday and did some research today which inspired me to begin practising. Luckily I already remember a lot, write it down, and even wake up spontaneously which might come in handy.
Thanks for all the tips&tricks on this site!

:welcome: Say0nara!

I like your name… :content: Goodluck with LDing and Hopfully you start posting soon!

 hello! Don’t be shy
Welcome!

How could I miss an introduction post!

I hope you enjoy your first vampire game
Are you a member of the dutch LD4all?

 hello SayOnara, it’s good that you will be able to start on the LD induction methods right away instead of building your recall up first

I hope you both enjoy your time on LD4all :grouphug:

:welcome: say0nara, good luck with your LD’s. Start as soon as you can and consider to start a DJ

Hi I’m Jen. And thanks to my friend who introduced me to the subject of lucid dreaming, I have finally decided to join ld4all. I have had a couple lucid dreams before but it was only like the first level and I can’t really remember it that well. A dream I do remember was when I was able to fly. It felt so real and the dream was so clear too. I could actually feel the wind blowing on my face.
I wish someone could invent a machine that would record and display your dreams. That would be so cool then you would never have to say : “I had this really good dream last night but I can’t really remember it.”
I’m also thinking of joining that wolf game. It looks fun.

 Now I wonder what friend that was? :hmmm:

Glad you decided to join Jen! Welcome to ld4all!!

 hello Jen

/me takes a crazy guess that the friend is essa

is essa making another wolfgame addict? :wolfbite:

I hope you enjoy your time at LD4all. You will be pleased to know that playing wolfgame even caused Tyrael to become lucid last wolfgame!

Correction,Mrs Monty!
Essa is a VG addict!
Welcome Jen!
Omg 999 is a biiiiiiig number!

WELCOME! You’ll become a WG addict in no time.

Hello all!

I am bound and determined to have, make a habit of, and use LDs for the purpose of personal growth and learning

Given my fondness for the number 5 (feel free to look up my handle) I like that I’m posting in part 55!

My avatar represents a face I saw in a dream about a decade ago that was whispering something important. I summoned that Oracle in one of my two fully (albeit briefly) lucid dreams a few years ago, only to have it delay answering my urgent question while I got excited and woke up! My LDing practice then tailed off, and only in this past month have I gotten serious about trying again. I swear I’ll make it this time!

Of late I am recalling one or two dreams each morning, and even after a recent nap! Big Mo is building up, I can feel it!

Hey, Panchak!

Before I joined LD4all, I had 3 LD’s

2 months later I had 10 in total

Great for some “new blood” as Arabinator says! If you have abnormal dreams, you’ll have an LD a week!

/me remembers when he had weird dreams… an LD a night… and now they’re all about waking life…

:welcome: panchak, I had a very good DR before I came here :cool_raz: and a lot of interesting dreams…

 hello Panchak, welcome to LD4all :grouphug:

… and if you had joined just a little earlier you would have posted on page 5 too

It’s always good when the avatar actually means something. When I first saw it … it looked a bit familiar … something out of mythology like the medusa.

Well if you start an online DJ in our dream journal forum it may help you to keep motivated  You could begin it with a post about the face and your two previous LDs and your future goals :content:

I hope you enjoy your time here

Welcome Panchak! :welcome:
/me had some LDs before he joined…
Oh,and be cautios in the PG,you will get truited if you don’t use the CODE

/me

Download,i think you mean “Fresh blood”,as Arb said.

Download: If I persist in my efforts, can I achieve… dream abnormality?

Ghostie: Eek! I’m esscared of Ghosties!

Moogle: My ‘Oracle’s’ hair was actually something between dreadlocks and soft ropes, judging from the way it bounced around so freely in the first dream, which took place in a train sleeper car. I approximated it as well as I could

Pridak: Thanks for the warning. I must admit with some embarrassment that I have no clue what it is to be “truited” :shy:

this --> :truit: :lol: :moogle:

Ooh! That’s a first! I’ve never had one of my posts mod-enhanced before! :shy:
Maybe ‘truit’ is Dutch for 'trout
