the BIG "Hi, I'm new here!" topic, part 67

Hey,

I’m Lisa, I’m 17 and French, so I apologize for all the mistakes I’ll do. I used to be a lucid dreamer when I was a kid, even though I wasn’t trying to have lucid dreams, they would jsut come to me like that and I used to think it was perfectly normal to do so. But after a period of insomnias 4years ago, I lost this ability, and I’d really like to regain it.
I still have a bad sleep, so there are technics I’d rather not to try. I’ve decided to try self-hypnosis to have lucid dreams again, and it seems I’m pretty good at hypnotising myself (I’ve only tried today so far). So I’ll see tonight if it has worked!
Sorry again for the mistakes!
See you!

Hi, I’m kitsun.

I found out about lucid dreaming years ago, when I was in early high school. I was on a kick about psychic abilities and meditation and it caught my eye. it was more of a passing interest, though. Now I’m grown, and have three kids, and for some reason I started thinking about lucid dreaming again. This time I am seriously studying and practicing lucid dreaming. Unfortunately, I have never had a lucid dream before (that I can remember, anyway). Whats worse, my dream recall is nearly nonexistant. Typically, I recall very few dreams, usually nightmares of my loved ones being hurt in a very realistic, non dream way. my other dreams tend to be incredibly wierd and not realistic in pretty much any way.

In short, my average dream recall is about 15 per year… But, what I do remember of my dreams I usually remember vividly, almost like a memory. Even my nightmares.

I’m probably getting a little long winded, telling my life story and all, so I’ll summerize by saying “Hi, my dream recall is crap!”

:welcome: to Alexandrin and kitsun313.

With patience, you will become a “pro” at LD-ing.

Also, good look at HILD and DR. Place your cursor over the acronyms for the definition.

Ahoy. I’m Mark. I’m 16 years old and I’ve been lucid dreaming (and lurking on this forum off and on) since I was about 9 or 10 years old. I actually hate pickles but I was desperate for a username. To me lucid dreaming is a hobby and a way to explore my mind and have an interesting time.

 hello Mark and welcome to the forum as a registered user :content:
Now you have an account, many more sub-forums will be viewable by you. BTW if you ever think of an alternative nick to Pickle, it is very simple to change it yourself on the profile form

Hi everybody. My name is Emily and I’m from the USA.
I first learned about LD about two years ago, and just found this forum today. I’ve been lucid dreaming since I was about seven, but I didn’t know what it was called and all that I could do with it.
When lucid dreaming is on my mind, I have one or two every night and every dream I have is lucid. So I guess that’s good, but most of them make very little sense! :content:

That’s nice, FloatingAlong, and :welcome:

I’m always interested on meeting other natural lucid dreamers here.

However, try to keep it low, you probably don’t want lots of people getting jealous.

Hey everyone! I’m new here. I first got interested in lucid dreaming when I watched inception  . Then I searched controlling your dreams, and lucid dreaming came up. My current goal is to learn how to WILD.

 me? jealous?

 hello Emily and Jacob, welcome to LD4all. I love that this community is for all - from the naturals to the ones just setting off on their lucid journey

Hi,
I am very interested in dreams, so I decided to register myself on this great forum. I have been practicing for ten months to get a LD. I have about 15 LD’s, and want more. I’ve never flown but would be very glad to do that.
(I make many spelling mistakes, sorry already :shy: English is not my mother tongue)

Hello Alodar, Norion and Draumen, welcome to LD4all :weclome:

Be sure to ask us if you guys need anything at all :content:

Hi, i’m Colten. I’m 16 and just recently found out about lucid dreaming! I have been practicing techniques to improve my dream recall and hope i will have my first lucid dream sometime in the near future!

hello has all!!
my name is Maxence and i’m 14 year old. I am new here but it make a moment whom I am on the site LD4all Francais. It is thus for that that I do not speak about English very well as you can see it ^^. I am very happy to find a site on the lucid dreams because I wondered if it was possible since I saw the movie " inception " .I account reach the lucid dream as fast as possible and be able to participate a little more in conversation.
CU!! :peek:

:help: :I do not know if it is here that it is necessary to post but I count on moderators

Hi, I’m Joe, 21, I also post on Lucidipedia but it can get quiet over there so I thought I’d find somewhere else to post now and then. I have had a hand full of LDs since getting in to this about a year or so ago, I’ve read Stephen LaBerge’s book “Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” and I’d recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

I am a musician and dreaming inspires most of my material, that is one of many reasons why I’m interested.

Hello, my name is Oleg. I’m 19 years old and have had an interest in Lucid Dreaming for several years now.
I have had dreams that were lucid before, but only those in which the lucidity has occured on its own. Upon discovery of this forum I have realised that they were within my reach, and have made my mind up to achieve more lucid dreams in the future.

Anyway, that’s me in a nutshell (not saying I’m a nut (which I could be :woo: )). Nice to meet you all, I’ve learned quite a bit already by just reading through some topics and hope to find out more.

hey wolf tracker, welcome to ld4all bro.

Hi, I’m Hyzoran, I love Video Games and modding them, I am also an Artist (Pencil/Paper and Paint.net)
I am also very interested in how existence exists and how to communicate with my subconcious, does DNA have a subconcious too? ect.

I am looking to have lucid dreams to improve my imagination and also gain wisdom and learn from my lucid dreams.

However the Idea of WILD scares the crap of me due to the possibility of concious SPs. No matter how many times people tell me that its completely safe and natural I still want to avoid it as much as possible. In fact, the idea of lucid dreams kinda scare me since I had a few semi-lucid dreams so far (no full ones yet) and every time I realized I was dreaming I tried waking myself up because I was getting creeped out by it. However, I still want to have lucid dreams. I am attempting MILD and I also try Wake Back to sleep whenever I find myself waking up in the middle of the night. I also try RCs every time I am reminded of the existence of LDs.

I overcame my fear of lucid dreams but not SPs, probably never will.
I can’t wait for my first lucid dream and the first thing I will do is interrogate my subconsciousness and see if it knows anything about the origins of our race (I believe it knows something deep down locked up extremely tight)

My goal is to have atleast four lucid dreams a week.

Oh yea, I wonder if its possible to have a psychic connection to someone to sync up your lucid dreams with them.

10 ? “Hello, finally made it to the hello world thread.”
15 REM This ought to throw them for a loop
20 GOTO 10

I have interests in computers and psychology, especially Jung and the MBTI. I’m trying to have another LD, and figured forums fit fabulously.

I googled for lucid dream forum and decided to look at the top three, though not in the order of appearance. The first looked dead, the second for potty mouths, the third is here. I’m reading some of the posts, and so far so good. Time to say hello.

Hi, I’m NewlyLibertine. I’ve been a long time reader and I figured it’s about time I joined up and got involved with the community I love so much. I am a huge - and I mean huge - Beatles fan! One of my main LD goals is to meet them in person and jam out with them.

I have had a few lucid dreams, and I am really striving to get better. I’m really looking forward to finally being a part of these forums and I’m excited to be here!

Greetings from the latest LD4all-newb! Came across this site a year ago but haven’t made an account til now. Most of my LD’s have been DILDs but I have just recently had a go at WILDing which was unsuccessful because of my beloved cellphone started to spew out the default sony ericsson text alert signal just when I was about to step in to the dream (I think).
I’m sort of a weird person and my ND’s are usually weird enough to make me laugh when I wake up so I guess they fit me which should be considered a plus… or something.
I’m still uncertain about what I aim for in my LD’s and until I found out I’m just gonna have as much fun as possible and get as good at LD’ing as I possibly can.
I mean, we spend about 1/3rd of our lives sleeping, and I intend to enjoy that time the best I can! :D)
Also english isn’t my first language so beware of upcoming and possibly confusing grammar errors…
