the BIG "Hi, I'm new here!" topic, part 70

Hello all.

My name is Donald. I am an anthopology PHD student doing a project on dreams. I have had three lucid dreams so far.

donald.

I figure I should drop a hello here before kicking off my dream journal, which has a more pertinent introduction and description of myself, at least regarding dreams.

Greetings! I’ve been very deeply interested in dreams for as long as I can remember. I’ve known about lucid dreaming too for a long time, but I’ve never made an extremely concerted effort to lucid dream until recently. I’ve still gotten them on occasion, likely because I kept a dream journal for years earlier. I become lucid most often from reality checks in normal dreams, partly because nearly every one of my other efforts for wake-inducing them (which I’ve read here and elsewhere) have failed.

I like the look of this place, and it should be interesting reading others’ experiences from their somnolent worlds. :>

Hi! I’m new c:…
I’ve been LD’ing for as long as I can remember… erk…
Not much to it!
I don’t know what else to put here… so… see you on the forums!! :content:

Hi, Hiir, mkitte20, donald, Essy and void~star. Nice to see that new members with some experience are round.

Also, Void~star: happy birthday.

Hello, LD4ALL

I’ve lurked here for a bit, and I am a regular at Dreamviews and on reddit’s r/LucidDreaming boards. Decided to register to see if I could get some new perspectives.

I’ve been lucid dreaming spontaneously since I was a child. I am also a writer by trade.

Hi and welcome, Tiresias

Hello everyone.

Hi jonaskr17. Are you Exerion? Welcome to the forum!

Hi, after getting the basics of LD down (with much help from this site) i finally decided to enroll in its ranks. I’ve had 3 controlled lucid dreams so far and i aim to perfect the technique, for it raises in me the suspicion that some odd thoughts i have about the nature of the human mind may actually be correct.
What else? I’m not very interesting as a person. I’m Portuguese, and after 3 years in the Army i find myself in my last year of college, generously (and idiotically) paid for, with regards to the Portuguese Republic.
I guess i am, at heart, but a dilettante.

Hello  Tiresias, Jonaskr and feastguy, welcome to LD4all

I practise Qi Gong (energy exercises) a long time ago ;
there are slow movements ground on the breath so as to reinforce the vitality.
Taiji Quan, the shadow boxing, is as a Qi Gong form.

In the association where I was, we also learned chinese medecine,
Qi Gong is an application of it.
Beyond health gymnastics begin taoist meditation.
This door open up the lucid dreams.

English esoteric or spiritual forums doen’t no great,
and I have not found a thorough meditation forum, neither french, nor english.
Also I have join Ld4all, much meditation experiences are lucid dreams.

In this way, I am hip,
I can fit into the lucid dreamers communauty.

Hi all! I’ve been lurking the forum for a short while now. I first started getting interested in LD a couple of years ago after I had a couple of spontaneous LDs. Using a couple of RCs I was able to induce a couple more LDs. My interest kind of dropped off for a couple of years, and then I had a couple more spontaneous ones. I’ve read a couple of books and have had a few more LDs over the past couple of months, and now I’m really intrigued. I want to stabilize my LDs and to have them more often. I’m so excited for the potential for self-discovery this offers.

:welcome: hello howling_coyote and jeweledcityquest, welcome to LD4all forum.

Howling_coyote, we have a topic for anyone over 30 years (points to the link in my signature). I think it’s good to be able to see there are others here in the same age group  Qi Gong sounds like an aid to meditation too?

jeweledcityquest, you may like to take part in the next LD challenge. It will give you a focus while you work on stabilisation. :content:

Thank you, Moogle, for your piece of advise :
I…

[some time later]

The topic for anyone over 30 years is cool and still.

Why not talk about that, under there ?

Thanks moogle. I may do that. I definitely need to slow down a little. Think I’m trying to do much too fast. Stabilize first LOL! I’m over 30 too, so I’ll check out your link.

Hey guys and gals!

Good to be here. Was on dreamviews for a while a couple of years ago, actively trying to LD. I achieved a few, but for some reason drifted away from it all.

Looking through my old dream journal, has me craving this once again. So, hello to you all

Recalled 4 dreams last night, a good start eh!

Hey.

A few months old on this site

Heard that Chakra Meditations are pretty effective. Gonna try that out.
I keep a Dream Journal stored on my computer, but no entries yet because I have a hard time remembering my dreams for the last two nights.

Welcome to the forum Aaron Canty

 a brilliant start … hope you put them into a DJ, get into good habits again

 hello LilAlanSmith
There is a remembering dreams sticky topic in the stuff of dreams forum. Key points are to set the intent to remember them before going to sleep and to stay still when you first wake up and tentatively search for hidden dream memories that are just below the surface.

Hope you both enjoy your time on LD4all. It’s a great community. :grouphug:

Yoyo LD society  ,

My name is Pjotr and I’m 23 yo, I am new here and new to concious dreaming.
I’ve already had an amazing and very inspiring tour to start with, very much enjoyed reading it. Maybe you’ll become my guide, I’ll make sure to make you look awesome if I have any control over that ^___^

I have about 1 year experience with mindfulness, however none with lucid dreaming. However, I have read a lot about it and realized my meditating might be beneficial.
The main reason I want to start becoming aware and concious in my dreams is to be able to visit my girlfriend, she’s currently on internship on the other side of the planet and I miss her very much.
Hopefully I can find comfort in spending time with her after I awake in my dreams.
I’m very patient and will be, first I’m gone face my nightmares and befriend them,

Hello! New here but not new to lucid dreaming I haven’t had one in a while though. :content:
