Hello. I have been interested in dreams and have read few books on this, and a friend told me about this, very interesting and hope i can learn. I remember my dreams pretty much every night, but sometimes i forget them during the day. i didn’t know that i could control them. i just would like to know …is it scary? like a bad dream? even in good situations, could you describe the feeling??

Hi maidyn! Welcome to the forum

LDing can be weird and very confusing in the beginning, but this feeling is quickly replaced by happy feelings. Nothing to be scared of  A LD isn’t like a bad dream, but when you become lucid during a nightmare, you have the power to change the nightmare into a happy dream for instance. You can do whatever you want. But it takes practice ofcourse

Hm you want to know how it feels to become lucid? If you’re non-lucid, you don’t have actual feelings on your own. Everything you perceive is controlled by another external player. You’re like a puppet, controlled by the puppet master. Only when you become lucid, you are the one in control. You’ve broken the connections with the puppet master. Now you have complete control over your dream ego, complete freedom. And this feeling is just great :content: It’s hard to explain if you haven’t experienced it yourself yet, but once you’ve had a LD, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Happy dreaming!

whoa! it’s gotten so big since I left…that’s nuts. Well, it’s good to see that it’s still up and growing. There are lots of new faces I don’t recognize, which is a good thing i suppose. So how has everyone been?

As I never think before spending somebodies time, traffic and diskspace, I’ll decided to post a message here, too.
It’s a very cool site, I never thought there was something like this, and registered mostly in surprise because I don’t think I will ever master in LD’s. I already have some, but they were not really lucid. I was just flying about at great speed without any control or stared at some web or dogs until fell asleep again. But it is really interesting to read about people which are able to do something I cannot, so I’m going to be mostly reader of you site. I believe it’s my last post. :eh:

I would like to be the first to welcome sleepy.time

he hasnt introduced himself yet cause he is reading my dj…

We goto school together, and we’re good friends. He even broke my finger last year. (It was my fault though)

Hopefully he stays around longer than some other friends of mine that fave come and gone on this site.

LOL.

Welcome, sleepy.time. If dnL’s your friend, then you must be a weird one. This forum is the perfect place for you!

Hope you enjoy your stay and get into LDing.

Hi, my name is spaceseel. I have just joined this fourm. I would like to learn LDing.

Hi everyone

Hi fleeting form and spaceseel :peek:

Welcome to the forum! I hope this site and its forum can be of great help to develop your LDing

Happy dreaming!

yep, I’m a newbie. I’ve been fooling about with lucid dreams a couple of months now, with none too good results.
I’ve only had two lucid dreams so far. The first lasted for 3 seconds or something, so I just realised I was dreaming before I was awake. The second time, I realised I was dreaming, did a reality check (turned a girl blue…), got so excited I started jumping up and down 5 feet in the air, remembered “oh, I shouldn’t get this excited, I’m going to lose my lucidity, I’m going to wake up!”, started to spin around my own axis, and waking up…

I hope I’ll find some good advice here, that’ll help me on my way to control lucidity

My name is Stine, by the way. 16 year old female from norway.

Welcome, Stine from norway! It’s good to see another norwegian in here.

 Just five days since my last visit to this topic and we have five new members posting here. :content:
Welcome to ld4all maidyn, ilana, spaceseel, fleeting form and mariposa :wiske:
I wish you all well on your lucid quests. :content:

Hi. I just found out about LDing yesterday but have always been intrigued by dreams. After reading quite a bit I went to bed and had my first LD last night. Well, the first one I actually had at will. I’m mega excited about learning more about dreaming and LDs and hopefully experiencing more.

Wonderful forum!

Hey, that’s great to hear, Spacetronaut. Congrats on your LD (and wow, that was fast!).

I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I’m new to the forums, but not exactly new to LDing. I’ve had a few LDs I can remember, but just thought it was something cool at the time. This was when I was much younger, but now it seems that since I am older I can no longer achieve lucidity, and it can be very frustrating. A friend directed me to this site, and I’ve now become obsessed with once again reaching lucidity in my dreams. I’m very excited that there is a community here to discuss everything about this, and to help others in their quests!

Spacetronaut

Welcome and congratulations on your first LD.

Hello Spacetronaut :universe: and Scnigey  welcome to ld4all.
