The Big Shared Dreaming Topic-Part 2

I wonder, if somebody had a shared dream, would they be more likely to see each other as they look IRL, or as they look in their own dreams? Suppose an old person is always young in his/her dreams. Would the other person see him/her as old or young?

Just a weird thought.

not too long ago freecube and i shared a dream, we know that we did cuz we quizzed each other about certain things and we were both able to answer them accurately. It was pretty cool because the day before i had the dream i read something about SD for the first time, i was sceptical, and then that night i had a shared dream… it was like God was trying to tell me something…

I had a Lucid dream this morning.

the scene i recall first was being in my highschool. i immediately became lucid, i did the usual stabelizing and LD time extension techniques. my first intentions was perverse as most men’s first few LDs are however i was suddenly overcome with rationality and became totally scientific. i wanted to see if i was psychic and tried to look for people i could possibly conference with in my dream. fastforeward a bit and i met a doctor. A black male in his late fifties early sixties, gray hair, gray beard. American with no accent. he was wearing a lab coat and i first saw him on a crowded stair well i was floating along side of. i persisted in asking him questions about his identity to see if he might have been a real human. i don’t recognize him but i chose him out of the crowd because he appeared to be the oldest and by his uniform i presumed he would be logical, rational, and scientific. he became annoyed and tried to ignore me when i told him this was a dream. it was very frustrating to convince this dream character or real person that this was a dream. he was in great denial and seemed determined that he would fullfill whatever activity he was engaged in.

has anyone else had trouble convincing people in dreams that they were dreaming?

my persistance in convincing strangers they were dreaming made me even more lucid and in control. i knew that if i tried to will these characters into thinking they were dreaming that they would just turn into dream characters and the real people would be deleted from the scene. throughout the dream however, i had some difficulty flying. once i got to a certain altitude i would start to loose altitude.

eventually i was able to convince this doctor my flying in front of him. after he gave me his name a second time we went out seperate ways. i can’t remember his name now but i believe his initials were W.W.
none of you by any chance wouldn’t happen to know anyone with the initials WW fitting the description above?

its about some astral plane and shared dreams. says the astral plane is somewhere a person goes and he dreams and has shared dreams with other people there. the astral plane is supposed to be built by every single person’s mind. check it out. its pretty neat. and if you find out more about the astral plane please post it. i just found out about the astral plane so i am still questioning about some things.

Here’s my own shared dream experience, with my wife. It was more of a sort of dream intrusion, where my wife WILDed into my dreams and shared them.

Anyone familiar with the theory of quantum binding and how that might be related to eg. telepathy and shared dreams?

The way I understand it, is that my twin brother for example would have a lot of quantum bound particles in his brain to mine, thus properties affecting my neurons could be felt in his.

Consider the fact that both Leibniz and Newton developed calculus in the same time period, in two separate places, without talking to eachother. Leibniz published his results, and Newton just developed it in notebooks, with totally different notation. Maybe they had shared dreams?

SD’s seem farfetched, maybe its one of those things that you have to experience in order to believe. All the good stories have, however, been quite inspiring for me. THANK! I’ll let ya know if I succeed,

Lol, that was probably not shared dreaming but ‘just’ two genious minds working on the same stuff, continuing what others had done before them. It is bound to happen in the history of mankind that in this way two genious people discover the same things at roughly the same time. It happened with theory of evolution too if i remember correct (Darwin and some other dude…)

Hi all
Just wanted to tell you about an experience I had a couple of years ago.
I was chatting to a girl who was into wicca (I’m a Buddhist by the way)
One day she told me that she had a “weird nightmare” (she told me the next day after the “nightmare”)in which I wass in it her boyfriend and she told me there were “monsters” and flames everywhere. She also said that I was laughing and pointing at her. Now as far as I could tell this dream frightened her and her boyfriend (who’s also a wiccan) actually thought I was a satanist ???
Ok now my side of the dream. I was infact indroducing these two people to my spiritual guide I was laughing becasue I was happy to see them in my dream and was calling them over not pointing at them. Seems they couldn’t see my spiritual guide the same way I did. Shame really.
I guess from this experince we can’t take things in dreams at face value,
if anyone has read any books by Carlos Caseneda you’ll know what I mean.

well sorry i found this a little late… speaking of telepathy or telling the future are different i know… but i have had a case of both i guess… wehn i saw one of those ppl that have the gift of reading teh furture or telling yoru past… i never believed in such things… but when i went to one in russia… i am russian yes… i went to one because my coursin told me about it and said it was really freaky… so i went, he told my cousin he was going to wait for me that saturday for i dont live in russia and he is relaly interested about where i live… so he would specially stay at home saturday waiting for me…
so i went to his house and there were a few people there abut 12… 3 were people he wagreed to see for serious circumstances and the other 9 were hoping to see him, so i sat down next to everyone else… and he came out pointed to me said Vladimir, would you like to come in… i found it strange since my cousin had shown no pictures of me and had mentioned my name though but hew picked me out of 9 others, maybe he is used to the other 9 visitors, so i came to a conlcusion that it was nothing special… then i talked to him and he told me number of things not many people knew… my feelings and emotions and my past and what would happen in the future… he knew i did weed and he knew i was caught, my family never sahred this information with anyone else… my cousin didnt know about this either so i was stunned… then he predicted that my great grandmother who was living in Namibia in africa and i would not know how he knew her age because even i did not know… but he predicted she would die in the summer of last year… and she did 2 months into summer she died… i dont think this was a lucky guess i think he has a gift and i believe in such things ever since… if you would like to know more about what he predicted or told me i would be more than happy to share it with you… sorry this was so long…

Shroom that is an interesting story (however not related explicitly to shared dreaming lol). Seems that some particular people do have a ‘gift’ for remotely gathering information doesnt it? …

yeah sorry but just seemes close i guess… anyways shared dreamings crazy… i have had 1.5 lucid dreans now!! one i had was weird though… anyways when i get better at it i will post back here again

I may have just had a shared dream with some ld4all members.

see: possible shared ld4all dream, Indian man, wal-mart, Nathan

in my dream journal, it’s on page do, just copy and paste the above, and hit ctrl f, and search for it, should take you right to it, but it’s in today’s respective entry.

ld4all.com/forum/viewtopic.p … iew=newest

i can definitely tell that my expectations influenced the turnout of the dreamers that I asked for, though… the brain is so tricky, but I should just stay neutral, it could be fake, it could be real…

Last night i found my self in a ld with a few of my friends, so i wanted to make sure they were just my imagination and i…don´t really remember what i did but they started to change into some other characters. I know that was not a shared dream, but how do you induce it, what methoods are availeble ?

I know availeble is not spelled right

I think you’re just meant to expect to meet that person/go into their dream. Try turning around in an LD and expecting to be in their dream.

Ask them if they’re the real person and trade a password with them. Next time you see them, say the password to them and see how they respond.

Try www.lucidcrossroads.com, theres a few posts on this forum about it. If you can get in your minds eye the lucid crossroads and visit while dreaming the guides will tell you what you need to know.

I don’t believe it’s possible. And even if it IS possible, it is not possible to know without a doubt what is being created/imagined by your own subconscious and what is “true” dreamsharing. There’s just no definitive way of knowing at all.

Petra-Fi:
It is theoretically possible to be definitive (assuming it is possible to share LDs); that’s what the password is for.
An idea is to have an online community which has a passworded page (the password being traded in LDs, of course).
Generating statistics that way, we could develop some more definitive inductive logic regarding the accuracy and precision in which this phenomenon occurs (whether it is real and how much it happens).
Personally, I am dichotomous on the issue. Scientifically, there is no foundation for the mechanics behind shared LDs (and very little about LDs; empirically, anyway). But, quantum theory leaves many possiblities open.

Once I had a lucid dream where I told a good friend that he was dreaming. He had never tried Lucid Dreaming, but he expressed a slight interest in it when I told him. In the dream, he told me to prove he was dreaming, and I showed him a billboard with writing on it, told him to look away, and then look back. At this point, he believed me, and we talked for a bit, and I was utterly convinced we were sharing a dream, because nothing he said aroused any suspision he may just be a normal DC.

In my Dream Journal, I had wrote it seemed to have lasted less than five minutes, and I remember we had a jumping contest, (we’re very competitive in real life). When the dream started to fade, I realized he might not even remember the dream, so I told him I would describe it the next day to him so he would remember.

I brought it up during lunch, and he didn’t seem to know anything about it. He just laughed and asked me “So who won the jumping contest?”

(I posted this in another topis, but nobody answered… I gave it a few days and now I’ve decided to make a seperate topic to ask the questions. PLEASE DO NOT DEBATE WETHER OR NOT SHARED DREAMS ARE REAL. I just want my questions answered. )

Since quite a few of you have lucid dreams, and can tell eachother you’re dreaming I have a few questions. (because I’m curious)

How do you find the people to tell them they’re dreaming? Do you use that door thing, where you imagine something is behind the door and then open it?

What happens when two people are having a shared dream and one of you wake up? Does that person appear to dissappear to the person still in the dream? Do they walk away?

And finally, would having a shared dream and telling the person they were dream help people have lucid dreams? If so I’d like to try that.
