I’ve tried to contact my Guide but nothing ever happens. Last time I called for my SG a Wolf showed up, but I don’t think it was my SG becuase I was dreaming of wolves before I tried to contact my Guide.
If your looking for lucid dreaming related or normal dream related help/advice then its best to ask a dream guide not a spirit guide. SG’s are there for spiritual concerns, they guide you in the right path in life, shield you from darkness and prevent you from dying, and they help you to learn lessons that are essential to your spirit in this life. So make sure if you do contact them, you have a spiritually related question to ask.
So, small question, you can’t choose who (or what) your SG is?
ah, in this case I want to meet both my DG and SG… I kept thinking those two things were the same thing

At last (I think) I got lucid this morning (mid-level though) I asked “Can you come out guide?” what seemed to be a hermit crab came out… I looked at it and said “No, I mean my spirit guide… May I see it?” then two guys came and took away the crab and said “I thought you meant this…” and they took away the crab. As soon as they leave… what seems to be an old lady in a white with red polkadots ( I never seen polkadotted stuff in my dreams before 
) and she look very glad to see me (I mean, she was smiling and all) . I asked her “Are you my spirit guide?” and she answered yes. I could feel the dream fading away because of the outside noise (airplanes flying overhead and all 
) and to my stupidity I asked her what happened to some guy in my dream I wanted to ask her name 
Oh well… I’ll ask her next time 
I am new to this board, but I am an experienced LD’er. Last night a had an LD and was able to remember to call out for a Spirit Guide once I attained lucidity. A DC pointed to a small man and said “He is your spirit guide.” I asked him his name and he said Frank Writer (later on during the journey he was referred to as Frenchy by other DC’s… that is beside the point but it was a very neat interaction nonetheless). At any rate, once I had the SG, I was determined to stay lucid as long as possible to see “how deep the rabbit hole goes.” I used a technique that I saw in another post to prevent the “fade out” from ending or changing my dream and it worked great. I rubbed my hands together in front of me as if I were getting ready to dig into a nice juicy steak, and sure enough each time I started to fade, it stabilized my LD. I would rub my hands together and slowly look around my dreamscape careful not to focus on any particular object or spot and the dream would settle down.
Frenchy told me we were going to see a particular entity or person (can’t remember what he called him. I have had a full day of the real world to help me forget the details, but the journey was interesting). One of my main goals lately has been to try and prove that an outside intelligence exists in my dream world. Kind of a tall order, but I am willing to give it a try. I mean what else is one to do with their own personal hollow deck time… yes me</big dork>. I digress… Key phrases always stand out in my mind during interactions with DC’s that “seem to have” their own intelligence. This particularly SG said to another DC when asked what he was doing these days, “I am protecting people like him.” (meaning me) He kind of seemed like it was his job more than his desire. I am not sure whether Spirit Guide is the right title for what I encountered, but I definitely got the impression that he was leading the dream. Eventually my “rubbing hands” technique failed and I lost lucidity before we reached the Shangri-La or whatever we were going to see.
It was a great experience. I held lucidity in the same dreamscape for a very long time. I would estimate about 5 minutes which is a long time for me. I have many memories from the dream and it has definitely motivated me to try other techniques. Viva ld4all!
P.S. I am looking for other LD’ers to try and prove a shared dream. I use the secret word method. If you post my secret word on this board one day… I will poop myself…
That’s weird and different to what I felt, although I’m not sure if this was my spirit guide and it was only a ND.
A few weeks a go, I had a dream where I think I might have hugged my SG. I didn’t realise it until just today that it could have been my SG. He (he was in the form of a guy I liked, except he was a lot skinnier than the guy IRL, who is actually fat) hugged me, but it was a really wondeful comforting hug. There was so much warmth and love in it, I don’t know how to describe it. I hugged him again and got the same feeling. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal and at first I thought it was probably nothing, but it did leave a huge impression on me and it made me smile during the day even though I was stressed out. No DC has ever made me feel such warmth and love, so I think it was my SG. What do you think?
I’ve never really had human SG’s ever in my life. All of my SG’s have been animals. 
Probably because I feel better connected to animals than humans? Well my first SG was a stag, then a dolphin, and now I have a giraffe (his name is Oliver, he has a deep voice 
). I was thinking about this a few nights ago, and then decided to have a go calling out my human spirit guide. Instantly I seen a shadow of a human, but then it half-transformed into some weird human/animal hybrid. I got freaked out and left it. Hmm, I hope I can find a human SG one day. Or maybe it was never meant to be.

I had an LD this morning, I always have them in the morning, like and hour or 30 mins. before I wake up. Why do I always have them in the morning, and why can’t I have them longer?
Anyway, I asked for my SC or Spirit guide, and I kept asking, focused, on it, but nothing happened.
I went to the side of my house, and there were this people who were basicly having a party, and I asked can I see my SC, and they said, he is not here right now, but maybe later…
They acted like he was at a party or something…
Any help? I guess I’m just gonna ask for him again the next LD
i was flying through beautiful forest above the path toward the cliff, and decide to call for my SG; and beautiful honourable eagle showed up seeking respect. Wanted to ask him something, but all I could say was :blarah, something like that, nothing meaningfull, so we flew forward a bit more, and that i woke up.

On the hike I see some bears wrestling , our guide tells us to surround the bears to show that we arnt affraid. The oldest bear then stands up like a man and tells us to site down. He speaks to me telling me to be more assertive (which is something that i need to work on in real life) The bear dissapears
It was a bear that talked to me telling me to be more assertive. Now I dont recall having any other experiences like this which makes me doubt it was a Spirit Guide. Is it common to meet your Spirit Guide more often in dreams or is it usually just a one time thing?

I tried to seek out my spirit guide 3-4 times with no success. Each time, i yelled outloud for my spirit guide…then the wind blew real hard and the trees shook. I would then wake up? Can someone help me?

I’m really sorry if this has been asked before, I’m still a n00b in this huge forum. 
I saw Wushan address this, but I don’t think they were answered. So, can your SGs be animals too? Or is that something totally different? Because, if one can have multiple SGs, then I don’t think all of mine are human.
I’ve heard of animal totems or animal guides, but I suppose it’s really up to the individual to decide whether an animal can be a Spirit guide.
A spirit guide could take animal form if it so wishes and I see no reason why an animal can’t be a guide. If it feels right for you, then it most likely is correct.

Until recently, I had never heard of SG or anything like that outside of “The Golden Compass,” so I’m really happy to have stumbled upon this topic! (I don’t feel as crazy anymore

My spirit guide is a Cooper’s Hawk (I found out from his colouring) but I’ve never seen him while lucid. Only while meditating. I’ve learnt quite a bit while talking with him. :3
