The brain, affirmations & how to use them ^^

So, hoping to make some things clearer , let’s begin.

So, first, what exactly are affirmations ?

Affirmations are short and precise sentences / phrases that you use , in one way or another, to help you reach whatever it is you’re aiming at.

Some people like repeating them in their mind, some prefer writing it, some prefer singing it. Quite anything is possible . It is my advice that you seek out whatever works best for you. It’s very different for every person.

That shouldn’t be too difficult to understand. The trouble starts in knowing how to use them.

The #1 mistake people make (and this might seem contradictory at first) is that the affirmations use starts and ends when you say them. As if you are pushing a button and that’s it. While that analogy can be true in some cases, most people tend to look away from the architecture of why and how affirmations work, causing them to miss some , if not the, most important aspects of affirming.

Let’s pretend our brain is a huge planet. There’s lots of places in it, and lots of roads leading from one to another. Very similar to planet Earth :content:
Every ‘place’ is a state of mind.
we could liken a city to be an ‘area of different state of minds on the same subject’ , so Paris could be where all the state of minds related to your perception and appreciation for yourself are.
While London could be the place where all states of mind related to your abundance related issues are.
and New York could be the place where all state of minds regarding your physical well being (physical health) are.
Now, every city has houses, hotels, and other places to stay at.
And each one of them, is a specific state of mind in that city.
So a hotel in Paris could say:
" I am ugly and repulsive "
and a different one could say:
" I am beautiful in every way "
A hotel in London could say :
" I have to put a lot of efforts to be abundant "
or " I don’t deserve abundance "
or " Money is falling on me from the sky "
A hotel in New york could say:
" I am always perfectly healthy "
a different one could say:
" My health is always at stake "
A different one could say:
" I have to sustain my good health "
and a different one could say:
" My maximum health capacity is getting better with every breath I take "

It’s important to understand that the brain is a HUGE planet, with practically infinite cities, and more importantly, infinite hotels in each of them.

Now, this is a very general summary of the entire law of attraction, almost every person on earth has his hotel in Paris, his hotel in London, his hotel in New York, and hotels he usually goes to when ‘visiting’ all the other cities. The result of what hotels you visit, is called your life.

This is crucially important to understand. It is quite easy to understand intellectually, but much harder to really wrap your mind around.

If you go to the hotel in Paris saying you are ugly and repulsive, to the one in london saying you have to work hard for abundance , to the one in new york saying your health is always at stake and to the one in Barcelona (houses city) saying : ‘my house is always small and not comfortable for me’.
That will be your life.
You will find yourself looking at the mirror, thinking you are ugly and repulsive, working hard, probably not getting to much money for it, living in a house you don’t like while barely being able to afford it and always having health issues ‘attack’ you.

It’s important to understand, the outcome of your life, is a result of the hotels you visit to, not the physical actions you take.
And the hotels you visit to are obviously all internal processes.
Thoughts, of one kind or another, conscious and subconscious.
note there’s not only ‘two’ types of thoughts, there’s an infinite scale of thoughts, ranging from the most conscious, on the surface thoughts, to your own pure self, consciousness.
So if you go to the hotel in Paris saying you are beautiful, to the one in london saying you are always swimming in abundance, to the one in barcelona saying your house is comfortable and beautiful and to the hotel in new york saying your health is always increasing.
You will find yourself in that reality.
It makes absolutely no difference what you ‘do’.
We all probably know about some guy that never worked for his whole life and won some amazing lottery ticket/fell in love with a beautiful millionaire or maybe thought of a simple gadget that earned him his life income.
We all probably know someone that looks as if he’s never sick, despite the fact that he ‘isn’t taking care of himself’. There’s also that guy that never looks for sex , never thinks about it, but always finds himself with a partner when he wants to have sex.
More importantly, we all know of probably a lot more than one man that worked hard and ended up with a lot of bills to pay, of the guy that went around all day looking for girls/guys and winding up in bed all alone, and of that guy that always worries about how’s he’s dressed so he won’t be cold, about what he’s breathing into himself , yet always moves from one disease to the other.

Think about it for a moment.

And now, the important part. How this whole concept works and how to use affirmations.

Ok, so you know you have your hotel in every city, but how do you change them?
I said that a hotel is a state of mind, so if I now really , sincerely think I am very healthy, shouldn’t I be very healthy?
No.
It doesn’t work that way.
You see, when you want to go to a new hotel in New York, you don’t know the road. Yes, you may have been there before, but now it’s all hazy and it takes a lot of time to get there. More importantly , even after you get there, the old hotel manager (neuron) is still reserving the room for you. You can go to a different hotel today in New York, but when you wake up tomorrow, the people in the old hotel will get you to come there again, they (can be likened to the cells in your body) want you to come there, and you feel somewhat comfortable around them, not because the beds and food are great there, they might completely suck, but it is known territory. And that’s how the vicious cycle continues and people fail to really change their life. Cause they can’t find a new hotel as easy as the old one, let alone, talk to manager, get inside the bed and sleep comfortably, so their fear of change is driving them to go to the old one. Despite how good or bad it may be.
That’s where affirmations kick in.
As I said earlier, affirmations are not all about the saying.
Affirming is a process.
Let’s say you want to have better relationships with people.
Let’s say you are now staying in a hotel in Amsterdam (relationship city) that says:
" i communicate badly with people and always end up with people I do not like "
Let’s say you want to go to the hotel that says:
" my communication with others is perfect and every person I run across is exactly the kind I prefer to run into. "
Most people are very accustomed to their hotel. They completely forgot how to get there. They probably completely forgot that there are other hotels in the city.
So, you phrase an affirmation, the name of the hotel you want to go to, in this case:
“my communication with others is perfect and every person I run across is exactly my type of guy. "
note, always make affirmations as short and precise as possible, always in the present tense, and always in a positive manner, that is do not phrase something like: " I am never sick " but " I am always vibrantly healthy”

Ok, so you phrased the affirmation , and you begin repeating it in whatever way it works for you.

You have not moved to the other hotel yet. That’s where people are mistaking.
You are trying to get the traveller part of you to that hotel.
So at first, you just might be wondering Amsterdam looking for how the hotel looks like, then you might find it, then you might actually go to it, but still the other hotel reserves your place and pressures you to come there.
You start using the affirmation, that is, you START building that neural pathway in your brain, you start finding the way to that hotel, it might be sluggish and slow, cause you haven’t gone down that road for a long time, but keep it up.
After a few days, you suddenly run into a great woman in the street and have a very lovely chat. You are smiling and go to your house happy about it.
That re enforces on your brain the fact that the hotel you are looking for does exist. So, the people there get to know you a bit better and you are becoming much more familiar with the road as time goes. Now, as you state the affirmation (try to go to the new hotel), it’s easier and most importantly, you feel better while you’re at it.
The people in the old hotel still feel protective over you and tend to pressure you to come visit them .
You stick with your affirmation and open the road to the new hotel more and more. After some time, as your life and mind-set changes, the road is completely open and you travel them with no problem at all. You are very comfortable with the people there and you just love it. The people in the old hotel had completely forgotten about you and you have completely forgotten about them.
Now, you are automatically going to that hotel, you don’t need to concentrate to go there, or to make any effort, it is the hotel your cells know and like, and it is where you are used to be. If you just go about your days, you will keep going to that hotel Note, we are always present to information, therefore, our mind-set is always changing, although not rapidly but gradually, towards one way or another
That’s when I can say:
Congratulations, you have consciously moved a hotel ! :content:

I hope this makes quite a few themes more clear and understandable.

A few general tips for affirmations.

Doing them after waking and before sleeping is good (on the condition you are concentrated) because you more in touch with higher aspects of yourself.

The more often you do them, the better. You could always throw one in your head, while you’re showering, while you’re driving, eating, whatever…

As I said, a hotel is a state of mind , so saying the affirmation is just getting in the cab and telling the driver to go. Each state of mind , or you could say, vibration, has it’s own feeling. So if you’re trying to make something positive manifest (and I do hope you are going for positive things) , feel the positive feelings connected to that affirmation. If you say:
" My communication is always good and I like the people I run across etc… "
yet feel very sad and frustrated about your current relationships, it’s like telling the driver to go, but trying to reach out of the car to the old hotel. That is looking to the old hotel . That will you keep you in touch with the people from that hotel, and your room will be kept there. Release the attachments you have from that hotel, let go of it and go to new one . Know, consciously, that you are the creator of your life and feel accordingly.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said:
"The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become. "
Do not fear the new hotel won’t suit you, and don’t worry about the old hotel.
Let go of it, and know that if the new one isn’t as good, you can always find your way back.

Hope this helps,
and Ill be glad to address any question that someone might have

Great piece of advice there, relV  One piece of advice I must give to people aswell, is not to get bogged down in the mind. You want to be in control and connected with yourself, but really, life is for living, so don’t be constantly thinking about your state of mind, live life to the full aswell!

this is good

i question is there a number of times an affirmation must be made until it kicks in ?

I was told at one point, 200-400 is all you need,

now I have done some interesting things with them,
and i notice they seem more powerful when spoken ,

yet it seems to be ultimately if you have some sort of goal and you really want to get there, you should keep affirming as much as humanly possible, so you are saying it thousands of times a day, maybe for a straight month.

but then what is the ULTIMATE affirmation

what do we want ? everything to go right, to be perfect and wonderful
"everything is perfect and wonderful " ?

how do feelings work their way into this spectra
and how do you learn to have incredible good feelings ?

when i go to sleep sometimes i make up a language
i think of a desire like being rich
then i give it a magic word like “ara-meeeha”
and i repeat ara-meeha a lot because i know that i know what it means, but it is not something consciously understood, then i also know that this imaginary word represents every good thing in the universe because it is neutral and not English.

dattatreya has lots of mantras on youtube designed to work these miracles,
they seem to have the charge he describes

what is the perfect process?

Having fun is the most important thing ^^

I am against doing anything that is not pleasing to you.

As you said, life is for living.

For starters, I don’t know of a number of times in which , once an affirmation is set up, it is ‘kicked in’, nor do I believe such a number exist.
The point is that everything in your life has already been ‘affirmed’.
From the first time you say an affirmation, it’s already in. It’s more of a question of making it stronger than the other influences you have.
Every thought you have is rising from your pure consciousness, from the pure consciousness that is all that is, the unified field.
Everything you experience, including yourself, the air you breath, the music you hear, the food you taste and the thoughts you have a relative reflection of this absolute field.
When you start saying an affirmation it is on the surface, barely digging into deeper levels. The more you say it, the more you feel it and experience it, the deeper it begins to be created at.
If you repeat it for thousands of times and for some reason still cannot penetrate the surface, it will be meaningless (it is however, very unlikely that this will occur). The deeper it gets originated in, the stronger the influence on your life will be. At the pure level of consciousness, in the unified field, every impulse that comes right from the edge of that field, will manifest in any way.
Resembling the ocean analogy from the TM topic I had.
Let’s liken a thought , not to a bubble but to a color. When you think something on the surface, the color melts away almost instantly in the mixture of the entire ocean. When you start diving deeper, the concentration of your colors (thoughts) becomes more intense, and the color rising from deeper levels of the water (thoughts) will spread more widely across the ocean. The deeper you spread the color, the stronger the impact will be. Until at the field itself, the creator of everything. If you get on that border, a mere impulse is strong enough to paint the entire ocean in the color you used.
The unified field (bottom of the ocean) can be likened to a light bulb, the pure light lying inside in the bulb itself. All the light you see around the pure source itself can be likened to the entire universe, it is all ever changing by the colors you plant there, but the source itself is absolute and never changes. If you right to the border of the source and light a purple color there, it will shine throughout the entire area, if you put the color where the light is very dim, the impact will be very weak.
So the more you use the affirmations, or more precisely, the deeper you go with them, the better the impact.

As I said, everything has been ‘affirmed’. By YOU !
The thing is that you’re not living alone with a bunch of people on some cloud.
Our brain is programmed from the moment we walk the earth.
It is programmed by our society, by our governments, by our families, by our education systems, by our friends, surroundings, films, music, all kinds of other arts and media, in one sentence, by everything we experience. Everything is downloaded, analyzed and from that information our brain is programmed.
The thing is that most people are not aware of the programs they have because of their external world. And what makes this bad is that 99% of it is very negative.
From the moment we learn to communicate and function in society, we are being told that money doesn’t grow on trees and that we have to work hard for it. We are being programmed to worry about illnesses that may attack us and about misfortunes we may run into. We are being told of how we should look like and what beauty means , what it is. We are being told that we are powerless screws in a machine and we are being told that we must struggle to survive.
We are being told that happiness is far away and out of reach, we are being told that pure love and fulfillment are belongings of fantasy worlds.
We are being told that peace is practically impossible. Just how absurd is that ?
How many people do you know that truly believe in world peace ?
Yes, everybody ‘wants’ it, but no one really thinks it’s even possible.
It’s like a fairy tale that can’t exist on planet Earth. Why ?
Is it really impossible for us to be loving?
Quite the opposite, we are love.
We are being programmed to believe that it just works that way, it just has to be this way. The same is true for everything.
From the moment we are born, we intuitively sense there’s something wrong with that perception, we know, as children, that suffering should belong to no one.
Yet we are programmed as we grow older and become more and more drowned with the modern society to believe that it simply ‘has’ to be this way.
Nothing has to be
The question is :
Do you believe world peace can exist ?
do you believe you can be happy and peaceful for the rest of your life?
do you believe you can have anything you want to ?
doyou believe in love ?

About affirmations being more powerful in one way or the other.
I think it’s completely different for each person, therefore the best solution is to experiment for yourself.

The ULTIMATE affirmation you might be talking about can simply be:
My happiness is ever growing.
It’s very simple, everything you do , whatever it is you’re doing, is an attempt to get to greater fields of satisfaction, of joy and bliss.
Whether you’re taking out the garbage because you think that’ll make you happy, whether you’re buying a new apartment or car, whether you’re going to a party to dance, or going skiing to pump some adrenaline. The goal is always joy.
Every being there is is looking for her peace of mind.
That’s where the perfect process comes in.
There is absolutely no exception to the above sentence.
A murderer, a rapist, a priest, a child playing in the garden, a storyteller, a mother nursing her child, a musician writing music, a man consciously exiting his body, an athlete running, a tiger killing an animal, a bird flying in the sky, a flower blossoming in the garden or someone sitting on a computer writing this text.

Whatever it is you are doing, you seem to believe it will bring you to your peace of mind, to your fulfillment , joy and satisfaction.

The ULTIMATE process is a very problematic issue.
Most people sincerely believe that if they were now instantly given a ‘perfect’ apartment, a penthouse in new york , lets say, an amazing car, a beautiful partner they connect very good with , lots of friends and whatever it is they’re looking for, they will be happy.
It’s an illusion.
Yes, they would probably be very high for a week, a month or maybe even a year. But that parade won’t keep going. Pretty soon, we get used to whatever it is we have and start looking for ‘more’.
We are raised to search for happiness in external stimuli. By listening the good music, eating good food, sleeping in good conditions , having sex, and having beautiful people around us to look at , etc…
But this search can never stop. There will always be a better car, a better house, a better spouse, more money to make… a better everything.
It’s all a big illusion.
A race we are all entering as we enter our society , without really thinking about what it means or why we are doing it. We are programmed to just do it.
it’s just the way it is…
Do you know some billionaires ?
Most of them are much more troubled than the ordinary man.
The search never stops , that is, unless you keep looking.

I got an email not so long ago titled:
“The Happiest Man On Earth”
Its about a monk called Richard.
They tested lots of people about the production of ‘happy hormones’. Now, obviously, as always, monks produce a lot more of these hormones than the normal western man does. But this guy ‘blasted’ the machines.
What do you think he has?
He probably lives in a 2*2 meter apartment, has no sex, only basic food, yet he is happier at any given moment more than the average person is happy when he is in his dream vacation, doing exactly the thing he wants to.

The source for happiness lies inside of us.

We are all perfect and divine, we are love.

Therefore, the ULTIMATE process is not an affirmation to set or any physical activity to engage with. There is absolutely nothing to ‘do’. The only thing that needs to be changed is ourselves.

an affirmation is only a tool, and I have to say that I personally never use it.
Not because it doesn’t work, but simply because I have no need to.
I let my subconscious thoughts do their magic, because I am whole heartedly knowing what I want and that I already have it.
I never worry about things not coming my way, or things not happening in the right way. whatever happens just happens, and even if it seems ‘bad’ , it can’t effect my mood, it can’t belittle my happiness.

However, affirmations are very useful for some people and so I wanted to explain a bit on them.
The thing with feelings is very complex yet very simple.
To make it simple, I will connect it to the affirmation theme and the brain.
Emotions are guidance. When we feel sad, it is a sign we are doing something wrong. When we feel happy, it probably means we are on the right track.
This is not to say that if we feel bad, it means we made a bad choice, it means we chose a bad attitude regarding the choice we made.
Every hotel has an emotion, every road to every hotel has a feeling you feel as you go through it . When you get to a downer hotel, you feel sad. But that doesn’t make the people there any less welcoming or demanding. The hotel (neuron in your brain) is being triggered, and the cells in your body are reacting to this brain activity, it releases hormones, and causes a chain of activities to run through you at a psycho physiological level of your being.
thus when you go to a downer hotel and you feel bad, your cells are becoming used to it. You are getting used to this hotel, to the bed, to the food, to the everything. It makes absolutely NO difference how fun it really is.
You could say that the hotel itself is the feeling. The beds , the food, the room…
So if you’re going to a low class 1 star hotel without running water and bad food, you’re gonna feel bad, and worse than that, you’re gonna get used to it.
Then when you go to other cities, you tend to go to bad hotels, because they are familiar to you.
When you go to a new hotel (and as I said, its not a binary 1 or 0, black or white thing, its a process ) you start feeling more and more connected to that hotel , to that state of mind and to that feeling.
So to learn to have incredible good feelings is very simple.
All you have to do is have fun :content:
Once a person releases his fears and beliefs and understands he doesn’t have to do anything and can really literally wake up tomorrow morning and do as he pleases.
He will always do what he thinks will be most pleasurable, this will lead to the best feelings, to the best hotels, and thus , to the most perfect life you could ever begin to imagine.

When a person starts living this way, he will simply be amazed of all the magic around him. He will begin to love himself , and thus everything around him.
He will experience nothing but positive empowering feelings and thoughts and his life will be full of love, leaving the person with a strong , sincere desire to share the love and help others.

Really, transforming your life is so effortless, people can’t believe it.
It is because they can’t believe it , it becomes so hard.
Honestly, if I would share some of the things that happened to me in the last month, I don’t think too many people here will believe it. Most will probably think I’m lying , the rest will probably think I’m very lucky. But I assure you, it will be no lies and luck has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Yes, I suffered. Probably more than most people did. The time I had in the army will forever be written on my mind. Not because of the physical things I had gone through there. Most people here hate the army but there are very few that suffered the way I did. However, they say, it’s always darkest before the dawn.
And so it was. I had one glimpse of the light in me, and that was enough.
No, not enough to be ecstatically happy from that day on, but it wasn’t more than enough to get the ball rolling and from that day , my life are always getting better, with every breath I take.
That’s how I learned to have incredible good feelings.
My fears started, naturally, dissolving, I starting becoming less and less attached and effected to the external stimuli I am experiencing.
When you walk towards the light, it’s brighter with every step you take.
With all that being said, it’s important to note that I don’t believe any intellectual understanding can have a profound influence on someone. Only direct experience can do it.

Learn to love yourself, you will start loving the universe and the universe never fails to respond.

There is a famous song that can sum this whole up into four little words.
It’s called
Don’t worry, Be Happy.

If this topic brought a smile or a little sparkle of hope or faith to any individual,
it was worth it

With love

thank you Ariel,

you are right that happiness is inside, however the balance of internal purity and external pleasure and activity is important

because then you can be an examplar

not “give up your possessions”
for who in America will
but “go inside, and then, the outside is satisfying”
a blend you see

and yes, my apartment was the most satisfying it ever was after there was literally not one single possession inside of it, and i sat upon the floor, wondering why i was moving out of such a spacious temple of nothingness.

however a process of inward attention and bliss must be engaged in until one is radically free in an objective manner, transcendental in the very meaning of the word,

and this process seems elusive, there are many of them,
i like staring at the moon frankly,

Yes, I completely agree.
I am in no way suggesting to give up our possessions.
But just as you said, go inside, then the outside is satisfying.
Physical well being is very important, however, it is gained through inner peace.
I am not suggesting to live any specific life.
I am suggesting to live the life of your dreams and nothing less ^^

What I think:

 1. It can’t.
 2. Yes, if you’re lucky.
 3. Yes, of course, if you don’t like materials.
 4. Irrelevant, but yes of course. It’s one of the truths.

Oh, and this:

-Impossible if you’re dream is incompatible with the machine.

Wow, this topic was really inspiring. I know some people who could really benefit from reading this.

I suppose, as my own opinion on those four questions:
1 It can, but it is unlikely to ever exist because of the greed of people.
2 Absolutely
3 Yes, but wanting what you have is more important than having what you want
4 Yes

My great grandfather used to say that everything that happens to you is your responsibility. You can choose to be the victim, or you can choose to not let it bug you and be happy.

Isn’t this similar to a song i’ve heard?

Oh yes, here it is

Im happy you liked it wolvendeer ^^

working class hero
It is only your beliefs that make you question the possibility of world peace.
There’s nothing strange at all about it.
The strange thing , if you ask me, is where we are now.
To me, that’s very strange.
Clean your head from your own beliefs.
The problem is that when you write a statement like the one above.
The people that need to reconsider their beliefs will never even stop to wonder if they even maybe possibly should consider the reality behind their beliefs.
the people that will stop to think will probably the ones that needs it less, since they understand the importance of being free from beliefs.

You can be peaceful , and it has absolutely nothing to do with luck.
In the past, I was severely depressed.
Nowadays, I wake up with a great big smile, becoming more and more happy with every moment that passes.

oooh that’s wonderful, great big smiles,

when someone says “I think” they are usually generally completely not knowing what they talk about

and it indicates they have not researched it thoroughly
its like a game where you pass around a lot of cards
and then one day someone asks you a question
and you’re like “ermmm, oh i know have that card” and you fumble through it and read the lines you were given,

i bet there is a perfect fractal representation of this mechanism,
Mr Mackey is one of them,
why Mr Mackey ? Because they ARE , mmmkay!

but I think like 27 . 92 % of people know I’m right.

the issue with beliefs is that what I said isn’t true, only the truth inside of what I said is true.

this is something I know.

I will also point out Write Now that our society h as conditioned us to be completely passive and indecisive in regards to authority complexes, instilling lots of “um” and needless doubt phrases within things that we know to be true, so that if an authority comes along we can be easily swayed by the winds of their , well, authori-tah,

however,

it is more or less the result of evolution, rather than a direct complicity

usually if you press someone who says “I think”
"wait, really ? "
they can only say “yeah i think so…” and "maybe " might follow,
but these are generalizations which must be scene.

Hmm, well affirmations certainly look to be one of your…maybe not fields of expertise, but experience, and you seem to have good ideas. Affirmation has clear positive outcome on your outlook of life, especially if you believe the affirmations are going to work. Very similiar to lucid dreams. If you think you can do something, you probably can.

One thing however.

I thought you might have brought that up, and I was hoping you weren’t. The Law of Attraction is pretty much ridiculed by anyone with any sort of background in…well…everything to do with…stuff. Except from the new age guys, which is where it was originated. See, affirmations can work well enough without bringing in pseudoscience silliness. I’m sure you’ve heard ‘The Secret’ series:

livescience.com/strangenews/ … ecret.html

The key difference between standard ‘I’m really great!’ affirmations and the Law of Attractions is that affirmations ONLY work on things that are utterly under your control. However, the Law of Attraction pretty much says that some vibrational energy goes and does some stuff and brings the good stuff back to you, with far less effort than otherwise.

No, this post is good because it has all the practical hints and tips about affirmation, and really doesn’t speak too much about the Law of Attraction. Though, I can see one example in your post:

Just thinking about meeting good people doesn’t change the likelihood of running into someone with a gun and intent to kill everyone.

What I really think is that when giving advice to people for really, really important things - such as improving your life - it is VITAL to give advice rooted in fact. Giving them pseudo stuff is seriously wrong…you are dealing with people’s wellbeing here.

Thankfully, your post doesn’t have too much of that, and is more about the good solid affirmative statements than anything else. So, good job.

Excuse me for saying , but who are you to say what’s pseudo and what’s real?

I give my own perspective trying to help others,
if it helps them, they can use it, if not, they can leave it.

Looking at history, you will find yourself always finding humans thinking they knew it all only to find that things have been hiding in their cloud of ignorance.
I’m quite confident you can agree with that fact as you seem to have a lot of intellectual quality to you.
Yet despite that fact, most people, and probably you as well, as you are reading each thing you consider to be pseudo or fake, you are not even beginning to consider the likelihood or reality behind that statement.
I don’t want to argue with you, there’s no point in doing that,
rational is not something that can penetrate fears and belief.
If you take one rational look at reality,
you’ll find that statistically, most of what you believe in will be found as false in the long term, but that doesn’t make people change or think about their beliefs.
It’s comfortable lying in a belief zone, cause you can keep away from facing your own fears , ignorance and uncertainty by laying there, thinking you know it all.

I don’t have much experience with affirmations, frankly I never use them, consciously.
Nonetheless, I thought I might clear out some points that might help some people.

and if you want to talk about vibrations and energy,
you are probably aware that everything you see, smell, touch, hear and taste are vibrations being translated by your senses,
so what makes you so sure that emotions , situations, and people are not vibrations ?
because the present scientific methods cannot measure them?

and by the way, I haven’t watched or read the secret,
I started reading it once a long time ago and gave up after about 5-10 pages.
