The Story of a New Lucid Dreamer

So, it happened last night.

I had tried WILD before to no avail, I had many false awakenings, dreams that weren’t lucid but were ABOUT having lucid dreams, I tried WBTB, MILD, with no results for a long time.

Last light I had decided to MILD. I kept repeating “I will become lucid in my dreams tonight” in my mind. I soon drifted off to sleep.

I was having this weird dream about school. I don’t really remember why I was there that much, I was just… there. Suddenly, like the newsflash of the decade, I was aware it was a dream. I did a RC just to be sure, pinched my nose, and I could still breathe.

I tried flying. It didn’t really work. I was definitely off the ground, but it felt really unstable. Practice makes perfect, I guess. Next, I tried materializing an object. I wasn’t really sure what to do, and I wasn’t able to do it. I’ll find out how and do it next time.

Basically, for the rest of this LD I tried different ways to stay lucid before I learned how to do some other stuff. I yelled “increase lucidity” rather loudly a few times, when I felt as if I was “losing my grip” on the dream. It worked well. I forgot about rubbing my hands, though. In a little while, I woke up.

This was my first lucid dream, and I am interested in more things I can do while lucid? If you give me ideas, I will write back here after seeing how they work out.

Congrats on your first LD! (Oh and welcome to LD4all if I hadn’t said that before ).

That’s a great first LD. For most people it usually involves becoming lucid and then waking up. Keep it up :content:

Well if you really want many different ideas, this is the topic for you: link

Other than that, I suggest you try out this month’s Quest! Travel to your dream destination! And to make things more interesting, try flying there. Flying is a must-do in LDs, you shouldn’t miss it!
