So, many years ago I bought a digital watch to wear all the time so I could do reality checks and think about them more easily while sleeping. As we all know, digital clocks aren’t working so well in dream as well as reading
Wel that’s the thing… I’ve been able to look at the time quite easily in my dreams and even read. So I took this reality check out of my check list…
Anyone able to read digital clocks in their dreams? I just found it fascinating as it is new for me to be able to read digital clocks (a couple of years maybe)
Interesting, what do you think changed that you can read time easily now?
I have read time in dreams but they don’t always make sense, so it’s not just about being able to read it but also realise that 4:99 isn’t actually a real time? (This is from a dream I had a long time ago where I didn’t find anything unusual with that time XD)
Also looking away and back again (and see if the time/text has changed) usually is more of a trigger that it’s a dream than seeing the time in itself.
What rc have you switched to and has it been more effective for you?
Hahaha indeed 4:99 is strange but you know how it seems so normal.
Last time I saw time it was 9:33 so what I prefer to use and always amazes me it to count my fingers/ look at my hands
And how the world is magical, after posting here yesterday I has the longest lucid dream ever and I can’t even recall what triggered it .
I was in a bus talking to a apparently “Asian” woman and the colours were just unreal, all was very pastel. But all I remember was to think I was in a dream, without knowing why, and then checked my hands and saw 6 fingers. I love this feeling to see my hands all funny Then I flew away, and fell in and out of lucidity.
Untill I found myself telling a woman that I just had a lucid dream. We were sitting on a couch surrounded by clouds . Obviously I wasn’t aware I was still in dream land
Hello Mrs full of doubts XD
In all my experiences with it, I have always been able to breathe. But the “full of doubts” can kick in when you reason it away, like I have done on occasion - I can still breathe but it can’t be a dream, I must have a cold. Things like that XD
I call this ‘the sabotaging dreaming mind’. When you are on the verge of becoming lucid but it tries to prevent you with providing reasons why you can’t be dreaming (and the reasons make perfect sense in the dream)
So you still need to be really aware when doing your rc and evaluate the results (in dream as in waking reality), but this goes for every rc out there.
But you will always be able to breathe in a dream!
