In the dream i was swiming underwater and when i tried to re-surface i ended up going down instead of up, then i felt this weird feeling i get when i try to wild (never worked before though) and suddenly it was like i roled off my bed and was lying on the floor. i almost thought i had woken up but noticed something was odd as there was nothing on the floor. then i realized it, i was dreaming! i tried to breath slowly, it felt so real. suddenly it was as if in was getting sucked back into reality. i managed to keep myself in for another 30 seconds atleast, and tried out casting magic, and it WORKED! I was able to summon lightning and fire at my fingertips! i tried to jump to see if i could fly, but i coudn’t. i tried to summon electricity again but it was barely anything, only faded light. before i could even think about what was happening i woke up.
I am so happy! i can actually say ive HAD one now!!!
Now, the real question, was this what DILD is? or something else.
Yes this is a DILD, since all dreams in which you are concious of the fact you are dreaming from the start of your dream are WILD, you became lucid later on; it’s definitely a DILD…
though this part:
I’m not sure if it was a FA of some sort…
It seems like a pretty ok dream for a first Lucid dream, to bad it ended so quickly…
Let’s hope the next lucid dream won’t take so long to arrive
You know… It’s funny you should mention that falling feeling, Ledgem. Last night, as I was WILDing, I all of a sudden ‘dropped’ and it shocked me so much that I woke up. This is common, so I read, but it was still a first for me. Then again, you must take into account that I’ve never had any falling dreams.
I think it is quite common, I have this alot during the HI state even when I’m not WILD’ing.
Try just falling backwards and believing you can fly. Have no doubts in your mind. Before I learned how to fly in an LD, I would always try jumping, and it never worked. The first time I flew, I just fell backwards and believed, and guess what? It worked.
It was a strange way of getting a LD, cause you dreamt of something which looks like a mixing of WILD and FA, but it was a Dream Initiated Lucid Dream. Congrats! And I like your casting magic!
