So far, I have had my lucid dreams in “spurts” of about 3 in a row, then weeks or months will pass before I get more.
I have no clue why, and I think identifying the source would enable me to have more lucid dreams.
Can anyone help me?
Hello Shadow Dreamer! I think it’s normal to have some lucid dreams then not having another one for a long time ,especially for people who are just starting out. You just have to keep practising. In your " spurts ‘’ of lucid dreaming 3 in a row, do you remember doing anything extra that you didn’t do normally? Maybe that can help you identify what went wrong. Keep a positive mind. Would you mind telling my how you had those three lucid dreams, what method you used, so we can discuss? Hope that helps.
I do nothing different, weirdly enough. I usually just focus on what I want to do, or use MILD and/or WILD. After that I usually end up with a DILD or ND.
I have been practicing for about 3 months or so, so I think having 10 LDs (no matter how short) is good- especially considering I didn’t remember any dreams a year ago.
Thanks for the help!
One other thing, while attempting WILD I will eventually find it incredibly hard to move. I believe this is my body’s version of SP, since usually I roll in my sleep. But after that, I never get hypnagogic imagery, I just either end up in the dream or fall asleep normally. I have no idea why.
Just a note: I have never had success with ordinary WILD, only FILD. But, that was a fiasco.
howdy and welcome
don’t worry, not everyone gets HI while WILD’ing. I’d guess 98% of the HI I’ve got I simply woke into them. Or got them while losing consciousness and regained it…
anyway… WILD can be kinda hard too so…
and don’t worry, LD’ing can be really irregular… With time and practice you’ll get more LD’s, I’m sure
Hi!
Ok, that makes sense.
And the FILD fiasco wasnt because it didnt work. it did. I just forgot how to do it right, so I woke myself up about 4 times before actually LDing for any length of time. Oops.
Ok, and I hope so- LDing rocks
