i like to look at my hands twice. In my last lucid dream it paid off and i looked at my hands (which were switched and had extra fingers twilered around my ring fingers.)
Looking at my hand multiple times works well for me. I recently noticed that my hand may look normal on the first try, but the second time, fingers may have become longer or shorter, or there are whole new anatomical features to the hand. Now I often look at my hand two or three times just for fun, even if I already know I am dreaming.
Look at hands.
Thats all I need.
ha ya i just recently had another one where i looked at my hands and instead of little fingers i had another set of mini hands.
Looking at my hands.
Nose plugging, then trying to breathe.
Closing one eye and looking for the nose.
Sticking a finger through the palm of your hand.
But so far, only looking at my hands seems to work in my dreams…
1.Looking at my watch, I do that all the time.
2.Looking at my hands, I can’t loose them.
3.Thinking, how did I get here?
Hand RC. Mine were invisible! Very odd feeling.
I like the close-your-nose RC (hold your nose and try breathing). Actually, it is the only one that really worked with me.
Looking at my hands is the one I always seem to do. Plus you can get away with it in WL…
My favorite is one I started working on about 4 years go, and have had great results. I guess you could categorize it into a MILD method. I divided it into several steps.
STEP 1: Develop a tick. Not a nervous tick, but a subconcious tick. It should take you about 5 weeks for a tik to pick up into your subconcious. My chosen tick was to touch my thumb to all the other four fngers of a hand every now and then.
STEP 2: You must be aware of doing the tick every time for this to work. Attribute something out of the ordinary to the tick. I imagined feeling a weak jolt of electricity every time my fingers made the tick. The mind will remember you never actually feeling the jolt, just imagining it.
STEP 3: While dreaming, you will undoubtedly make the tick. Once you do, you will feel the jolt of lightning. And that’s that, instant reality check, you are now lucid within your dream.
I chose to share this method, because that’s the one I’ve had most early success with. Later on, with practice, you will develop other methods, more suptile methods, but I think that an early method like this is the most important step.
i look at my hands, then i try making my finger go through my hands and then i close one eye and see if i can see my nose
Interesting. Never heard of that one before. Still 100% success on hand RCs for me.
I look at my hands and count my fingers, I count 5 but then another one suddenly popos up with a flash.
Counting Fingers or holding ones nose.
If either ones bring a desired result i just fly away
Sometimes I don’t need to do a reality check. I just feel it…there was one time when the words “you are in a lucid dream” flashed before my eyes. Freaky.
Most of the time when I do an RC there’s nothing wrong with my hands. Just the act of doing an RC makes me lucid.
I too like to check out my hands every now and then. never have they looked strange but still i have managed to get lucid with the method
My favorite one is the logical test. I ask myself “Is it logical that i am here at this time and in this place specifically? Is the surrounding is logical to me?”
If the surrounding answers me then im lucid
Another one is the memory test. I ask myself “What did i do the pas two hours?”
If i can answer it - Im dreaming and become lucid.
So, in WL, you don’t usually know what you did the past two hours?
My favorite reality check is trying to throw things, it looks as if the thing that you threw is floating, or just weird. And this way its more interactive, it takes more of an effort which leads me to believe that it will pay off
Favorite? I don’t really have a favorite, though my least favorite might be the nose one because it always makes my nose all sticky and whatnot if it fails. And by fails, I mean I can’t breathe through my nose, so it would in effect pass, but that’s not the point…
