I’ve been an active dreamer for years, and a member of the community for a while now. My progress in the past hasn’t been that great, I’ve had perhaps 10 lucid dreams in 6 years. I’ve had experience with pretty much all the well known methods, and actively check reality and update my dream journal.
I’m interested to know what has worked for you guys. When did you finally arrive at the method, or way of life that you stuck with to improve lucidity, and saw results?
Well, recently, I just sort of stopped stressing about it. I committed myself to keeping a DJ diligently as well as stopped “trying” to have lucid dreams. I frequently remind myself when I begin to fret that I just need to “let them happen.”

One last note. I began to believe a few months back that one has to be familiar with the dream world to have more dreams. One has to have more lucid dreams to have more lucid dreams. I like to playfully call it “Lucid EXP.”
For me, most techs work. I’ve found it’s not usually the particular method that I use, but more of how committed I am that evening when trying to get lucid. Just try harder with a tech you like. If it still doesn’t work try taking a week or two break…
