Yet again, some questions about WILD

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying/practicing WILD (in many different ways) for almost a month now, but I don’t see any improvements yet. I’ve only saw the HI two times in the period I’ve been trying to do WILD, but I think that was like beginner’s luck, cause I just read about it then.

I think the problem is I’m too aware. But I can’t seem to find the right balance so I’m aware and still able to fall asleep.

So what should I do?

  • Stop, and move on to another technique?
  • Just keep trying for another month or till it does work?
  • Try WILD in combination with MILD/WBTB more often?
  • Something else?

Cheers,

Dennis

I cannot WILD, so that I’ve almost the same problem than you have. :smile: From times to times, I try to WILD (generally when going to sleep) but I’ve not great results.

Yesterday, I saw that Dili Dali had a WILD on his first try. I really wanted to have a WILD too, and this night, I tried WILD in combination with WBTB. I didn’t really go out of my bed, just waking up and trying immediatly to WILD. It wasn’t still a WILD, but I’ve had very vivid phosphenes and animated HI and I think I was not very far to a WILD, though I couldn’t enter a dream.

Now my advices are:

  • keep trying from times to times until it works;
  • wait to be very motivated when you try (if you try and you’re not very convinced, you’ll just lose motivation);
  • absolutely practice WILD in combination with WBTB. It really helps a lot!
  • in the meanwhile, in order to have LD’s and thus not to lose motivation, move to another technique (MILD, autosuggestion, RC’s)

Ok thanks! I’ll certainly try all the things you adviced and I’ll keep you and everyone else informed when I make some improvements of course :content:

My problem is that I doesn`t manage to be consious , I think
Because I never had remembered very long.
The last thing I remember was just after doing the relax - stuff on WILD at ld4all… :bored:

like basilus west said i fully recommend you do WILD with WBTB, and it’s probably different for different people, but it’s best for me to be awake for at least 30 mins… i’m not awake enough to stay aware through the whole process unless i’ve stayed up long enough. just don’t stay up too long or you’ll never fall back asleep.
