You are a master lucid dreamer.

All that is necessary is an intention to be fully lucid in your dreams .

Infants do not learn to walk by reading books and studying and asking questions and saying to everyone “hey, can you tell me how to walk?”

imagine how silly it would be if when the infant is in the process of taking its first steps, a parent comes in and says “well yes that is A way to walk, but here do THIS instead… this is BETTER” imagine how silly that would be.

advice and information are a wonderful part of lucidity, but they are not lucidity.

Lucidity is as easy as letting it be.

Letting it be is as easy as being completely confident that it will be.

It will be because lucidity exists.

You can walk because walking exists.

Lucidity is a very personal skill that requires fine tuning on your end, and it is not the goal at the end of the path we should focus on, rather, each individual step. This is because there is no end to the path, everyone as a human is constantly walking the path and fine tuning the process, or else, content with where they are.

However much you intend to be lucid, however much you believe in your capabilities to be lucid, however much you imagine that lucidity is real, easy, fluid and possible RIGHT NOW when you go to bed tonight, that is how much you will be.

Anything else will work into place in time. You might learn a lot from asking others, you might learn mainly from your own methods, but don’t fixate upon some sort of deity, a projected God of lucidity, some sort of quick fix instant method that you will scour the internet to find, or anything like that.

It’s really just as easy as being lucid, so use whatever tools help you, but know that it is the intent of the user of the tool that matters, all the tutorials in the world will ultimately depend upon the person using.

For me lucidity is as easy and instaneously simple as not moving at all when I wake up. There are plenty of methods written about this, people call it chaining, REM surfing, DEILD, but it’s not for everyone.

There’s no reason it can’t be that easy for you as it is for any of us.

Intention is all you need, and it will carry you all the way the rest is interpretation whether you focus on your many successes, your many first steps on the way to walking as an adult, or if you dwell upon all the times you fall down.

You are a master lucid dreamer. The rest is process and theory and patience and path. Don’t let it be dogma.

May I say, sticky? Great post by the way, this just kept me motivated for the next month. Thank you for taking the time to write this.

I have to say, while your method may apply to some learning (Walking, crawling, picking up speach,) It dosen’t apply to things highly advanced. But lucid dreaming is pretty basic, so you made a good post.

lucid dreaming is the easiest thing in the world.

Fantasic post

But If you have not experienced lucidity before, there is always that doubt

Also, searching for the “cure all” method might be good too.

After all, it has a 100% success rate, so your are guaranteed to have a LD! no question about it!

Thank you for these wise words Holy Reality. You’re insight is inspiring.

This thread has GOT to be stickied.

I love your point of view of lucidity,
this has given me great confidence,
thank you !

I have a feeling I’m going to thank you for this later. It makes a whole lot of sense and now I feel silly for putting so much effort into it.

It like when the bathing chimps were looking at their hands like they were doing the hand RC and I did it too and found out I was dreaming.

Great post holy reality. I think alot of people focuse on techniques and ways to get lucid rather than just being confident and being lucid.

great post!

After reading this post, I had a ld that night.
Thanks for taking the time to type it up!

you know, the last time i was closest to lucidity the night before i remember really convincing myself that that night would be the night that it’d happen
and it almost sorta did lol

That is one of the most insightful posts I have ever read on the subject of lucid dreaming; truly inspirational.

Thank you for gracing us with this post, holy reality.

This is a great post like everybody said, but don’t tell the people: “don’t search for techniques and methods”, because people want to explore and discover things. That is the nature of human. I’m sure that even people that have LD’s every night are searching for new techniques, because it is interesting.

You were right, it totally worked. I just decided yesterday that I was going to have a lucid dream and I DID! And it was cool! Thanks!

link to lucid dream :moogle:

Exactly. :cheesy: THIS is what I meant back with the whole “Just Do It” topic. You explained it better than I was able to.

I think these ways are the holy grail of lucid dreaming. I’m trying to get them this way, but my mind seems to be polluted with thoughts that lucid dreaming is difficult. that’s because when I started everywhere I went everyone was going, it takes months, sometimes years to master. Not good for my SC.

Well, for me, none of the techniques represented exactly what I must do to become lucid. However, they worked as a sort of guided tour which made me notice the things that worked and those which did not. Also, the experiences with the different techniques of various people posted on this forum helped a lot. So techniques are not useless.

I agree with the OP that lucid dreaming may be much easier than you thought it was and everything you need to do it, you already have. :content:
