Since the two brainteaser topics have vanished due to the loss of data, I feel compelled to torture your brains once more with another riddle
Here it comes:
“You die, you come in a room and you see two doors. You know one door goes to hell and the other will lead you to heaven. In front of each door you see a man sitting.
You know one of those men ALWAYS lies, while the other ALWAYS speaks the truth.
You don’t know which door leads you to heaven and which door leads you to hell. You also don’t know which man speaks the truth and which man always lies.
You may ask one question at one man to find out which door you’ll need to take to free your way to eternal heavenly life.”
WHICH QUESTION DO YOU ASK?
Remember: this question must give you absolutely conclusive evidence of which door to take in order to go to heaven. There can’t be any doubt left after hearing the answers to your question.
okay… Insane_goth here is the first who got the answer. Yes it’s pretty easy if you’re good in logical thinking (not me. I only got a headache ) Anyone else?
Seems like these kind of riddles are too easy for some people here You’re finding the answer too fast! Perhaps I need to choose more difficult riddles in the future
Hey, you should make (or let this thread be) a riddle thread. You ask a riddle, first person to answer correctly then has to ask a riddle of their own, and so on.
Well I think I’m still sane but I have got nothing to prove it.
I got the answer this afternoon but won’t post it here as it might spoil the fun for someone else.
LOL! Nice try infection0
No you don’t know if the liar sits in front of the door leading to hell or not. There are two kinds of information here, and both are independent of each other:
You don’t know which door leads to heaven or which one goes to hell.
You don’t know which guy is the liar and which one always tells the truth.
Don’t look too far. Think logically and ask yourself this: which elements must certain be part of the question?
Good luck
Oh and it’s a great idea to make this the BIG riddle topic part IV.
Excellent idea Let us start as soon this riddle is solved?
Congrats moogle (and the others who have found it as well)
Shall we start with the riddles? So the first one who posts the correct answer also needs to give us the next riddle, and so on…
Ok here’s the first one. There are many variations about these kind of riddles, so I really hope no one knows this one:
Create the number 24 using only these numbers once each: 3, 3, 7, 7. You may use only the following functions: +, -, *, /. This is not a trick question; for example, the answer does not involve a number system other than base 10 and does not allow for decimal points.
