I was thinking… How could someone give someone else a nightmare?
I know some people who deserve a good nightmare… And on that how could you give yourself a nightmare (besides watching scary movies). Because a nightmare is a good way to become lucid for me.
Sorry, not really helping here…but I don’t really know if you can self-induce a nightmare. Let alone giving someone else one. All I know is that stress can bring nightmares.
On that note, I haven’t had a nightmare in years…oddly.
As far as I know, you cannot induce dreams in others. That would be disturbing. If you know some people who deserve a good nightmare, leave it to karma and stay out of it.
Self-inducing nightmares is actually quite easy. Read The Call of Cthulhu until you fall asleep, then enjoy the wrath of the Elder Gods.
The only way is if you can create a “link” to the victim (I mean you make an SD).
Then the fun begins, spawn all horrible things on the opponents
But the way to that is REALLY hard, ask someone who knows about SD, like wikipedia
I’m reading Freud’s interpretation of dreams and there’s a section about external sensory input affecting the dream. You could try inducing nightmares by manipulating someone’s sleep environment:
Make them too hot, extra blankets, heater etc
Make them too cold, steal their blankets, open a window etc
Make them wet, drip water on their face or spray them with a spray bottle
Blow on their face or tickle them with a feather
Shine a soft light on their eyelids (too bright might wake them up)
Make soft sounds, or whisper things in their ear, “I’m gonna kill you” etc
Just a few suggestions. Keep in mind though, there is no guarantee these will work. You might even accidentally induce a pleasant dream!
Yes Tom, youre counting all physic methods, some better than others. But the best way is to create an SD with the victim and use all terrible powers against him/her.
I, myself, almost never have nightmares and when I do, it always is about me running away from something really terrible. I’m then numb with fear so I can’t run very well, which is the scariest part…
The only way of making someone have a nightmare, I think, is to go inside his/her dream and do something scary to him/her, though, I’m not sure if it is a good way of punishing people. Once they wake up they might forget all about that nightmare.
Well, I never remember more of a nightmare than that I am running from something but can’t because I’m too weak of fear. Or maybe things that are nightmares to others seem normal to me ! That’s a possibility too…
What I’m trying to say is that this running away from something nightmare is the only one I EVER have. Mostly people have different nightmare, don’t they?
And asking some horrible monster something while it already looks forward to digesting me , seems a bit like suicide… even though you can’t really die in a dream, the experience of being eaten is something I would prefer not to… experience … though it might be funny to see someone else experience it
I think it would be better if you’d just pop up in you’re victim’s dreams you’reself, while being aware of the fact that you’re dreaming, you should still be able to do ALL the things you want to … until you’re victim becomes lucid and takes away you’re powers, perhaps.
But if I may ask(just out of curiosity), who do you intend on giving a nightmare(some teacher or evil neighbor maybe?) and for what reason?
