Usually I dream in first person, occasionally in third person.
Generally my dreams are 3rd person, though I have 1st person dreams about 1\3rd of the time. It tends to vary a lot. Often it’s like a movie where I’m shown different scenes, sometimes from my own perspective, other times from the perspective of the ‘camera’, and other times from the perspective of someone else. The view tends to shift around a lot.
I tend to shift within the dream from 1st person to disembodied observer. When I first recall my dream upon waking it seems like I shift from 1st person to watching myself but when I think it through I realize I shift to DO.
This is tricky. Sometimes 1st person, sometimes DO, sometimes both at the same time.
In LD’s or ND’s with lots of control (that usually become LD’s) I switch between characters or can be multiple people, so I might be someone with a 1st person view but at the same time I’m seeing everything else from a 3rd person point of view while also being in control of the DC’s. Like they’re all me and I’m in their heads.
Mostly 3rd person. But I find 1st person so much more exciting

I think I actually never had a 3rd person dream.
I myself have a bit more 3rd person dreams than 1st person. In third person your just sort of watching yourself, not really doing anything at all. I just had a 1st person dream recently and began wondering,
What is the significance in dreaming in 1st person and 3rd person?
I tend to switch back and forth between 1st and 3rd person. But then I often dream in first person, but not as myself. Sometimes I’ll go through an entire dreams where I’m a completely different person with specific goals, usually a man (I’m female IRL). Other times my identity and perspective will switch back and forth between different dream characters. One time I even had a sexual dream in which my identity kept switching between the male and female partner.
I usually have third person dreams. Sometimes I have first person. Once I have a dream where I was viewing a house far away from bottom to top in a third person view. Like a camera view in movies. Pretty impressive.
I usually have 3rd person dreams , kinda annoying sometimes…
I think all of our dreams are first person (Unless we specifically want third person) - But when we wake up our mind tends to see it in third person, just as one can think back on yesterday and remember it in third person. The dream is like a mass load of world data - There is no true perspective.
I would say that I do a little of both-- probably more 3rd- person (that’s if I’m even in the dream at all-- often it’ll just be like watching a movie of another character’s story… “disembodied observer”, did you call it?), but I have a feeling that they’re mostly in 1st-person and I simply REMEMBER them as being in 3rd-person.
But who can really say? It’s difficult to tell once you’ve woken up.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if I really did dream in 3rd-person (for dreams that I’m in myself).
I tend to switch between them two. Often becouse I switch from 1st to 3rd to follow the “Dream story line” easier. But it’s mostly 1st person view.
I tend to dream in third person sometimes but most people I talk to think you only dream in first person and insist that im wrong.

I switch between 3rd/1st a good bit but i’m mostly 1st person view. sometimes little matinée’s happen and I see something other than myself (like a zoomed out view of the location I’m at) (Aka the moon dream in my DJ) does anyone else get that?
When I was young (about 7 or 8 - don’t remember so well) I used to dream only in 3rd person, like watching a movie. Now, between now and then, I dreamed both, 3rd person and, like IRL, 1st person.
And I noticed something, since I began keeping a DJ, I dream only in 1st person, like myself. I can see my hands, feet, almost just like IRL.
I guess that’s a sign that I’m approaching LD’ing. But still long way till then 
Hmm, I’d have to say it goes either way with me, although I think I have more first-person dreams than DO. About 60/40
Also, in the dreams where I’m a DO I’m not usually in the dream at all, just watching my DCs act it out. You could say it’s like first person but instead of being a part of it I’m watching it like a movie. =P
I’ve always wondered about this. It seems that it switches within the dream, but I don’t really notice.
One minute I’m in first person, then I’m viewing the scene from a third person view behind me. I guess it fades in and out…
And then I do occasionally have dreams where I’m a DO.
For me most of the time 1st person as well as DO. Sometimes it’s a mix of two 
I’m almost always 1st person. I occasionally have 3rd person parts in my dreams, but I never see myself. I kind of wish I had more 3rd person dreams. It’s like watching a movie! But usually a very strange movie…
