LD in ND at a beach 1000 miles under ground through some insane random pathways ect… I thought “this would be a great LD environment” bam.
It was decently vivid, but then I ducked my head under water and EVERYTHING became Crystal Clear! I mean sand grain clear! Better vision than my real vision. And the colors were just amazing! I stood up out of the water things seemed to stay fairly clear and vivid but I submerged back into the water and instantly everything became Crystal Clear again! I was blown away during and after the LD.
The thing is I wasn’t 100% lucid* LD within a ND
So any advice on abstaining such clarity again and again? I was thinking maybe try to slip on water goggles filled with water in another LD, but that may very well not work. I usually rub my hands and pick something up to stabilize the dream but it rarely clarifies the vividness.
I suggest you not to limit yourself on the thought that water alone is what makes your vision clear. In general, good senses (not only vision) are there if you are high lucid, have a good DR and/or care about your dreams. There are plently of ways to make a dream clearer, check more of them out in the Knowledge Base (especially the Dream Control Training Course might be useful). What has always helped me to increase vividness is interacting with the dreamscape such as touching and closely observing stuff. Try out multiple ways and eventually you will find what works for you.
So I just had the next lucid dream. DILD… so again my lucidness wasn’t 110 percent. It lasted about 20 - 30 minutes, broken up in different locations of this main environment. Well right at the end I saw two ware wolf looking dudes from up on a hill and decided to spook them so I flew/jumped right in front of them…lol So I decided to tag along and started walking along this trail in the woods… dadadadada… Then remembered I wanted to try the goggles filled with water trick, so I asked one of them for goggles and water, bink he was holding them out. So I poured water into the goggles and literally instantly after I slipped them one EVERYTHING became Super vivid and Crystal clear. …With absolutely no effort. Guys I saw crystal clear dew drops on a thread from a spiders web hanging from a tree. Then when I walked by it there was a sharp glare of a rainbow effect. It was nuts! I mean my vision in real life isnt nearly as sharp.
I think there are many different ways to achieve different goals, and I think some are easier than others, and other may take absolutely no effort.
So shortly after I remembered what you wrote: “I suggest you not to limit yourself on the thought that water alone is what makes your vision clear.” so then the clarity started to fade… of course. but better sooner than later. So then I just focused to make everything crystal clear again, it was a little strenuous. It reminded me of Mattias’s idea of using 3d cross eyed pictured, and the feeling to make them clear. ld4all.com/forum/viewtopic.p … highlight=
Someone else should try this. Id love to hear your results, because for me it just made my LD Incredibly vivid/colorful/clear and just aw inspiring.
I don’t know if it would help me. For some reason you’ve associated water with improving your vision. I tend to take a different approach. Er hmm…
“INCREASE VIVIDNESS NOW!!!”
There. That’s what I normally do. I use voice commands to improve my vision in my LDs. The usually take two or three shouts before it finally kicks in and everything goes ultra sharp. (Like the 3D image in the link in the post you linked to. Thank you SO much for putting that up there. They’re simply unbelievable.)
Yeah dude exactly like those! I’ve tried using vocal commands but haven’t had too much success. For some reason the water in goggles just worked completely flawlessly, effortlessly and instantly. Try it some time, let me know the results.
EDIT: but yes when I had to focus it did very much feel like those 3d images. Mattia really nailed it on that one.
Wow, this is really cool; I want to try it as soon as I become lucid next.
Personally I don’t think you need to change anything about what you’ve done. I think if it works for you, then work with that. The more you put on these glasses the more familiar with that sort of vision you’ll get, and then who knows, it might just take a subtle thought-wave of intention once you develop a solid neural network with it.
I like the essence behind the water glasses idea. It involves that magically creative sides of our minds and I think using ideas like that in dreams can open up a vast amount of possibilities. It just seems like the mind can understand stuff like that easier; like it is an ancient form of communication.
