Owners of Nova Dreamers-Do they really work? Please tell us

Hello well im still experimenting with the rem dreamer, and I’m very happy with it, and yes it took weeks for it too arrive… Anyways I think my sleep is too light that every time the lights go on I wake up!! so I’m trying different settings. Im glad to know that more people are having results with it.

Glad you guys had to wait a long time as well, I was moments away from sending an email, but I guess Ill give it some more time.

Full Blown LD!

Man the settings make all the difference. In this dream I had actually purchased the REM Dreamer from a store and put it on and used it and saw the flashing lights! I then got up and started telling everyone I was dreaming and started flying and doing whatever I wanted. After a long trip I had a feeling of being kind of “exposed” and I actually thought that somehow I had “transposed” into the waking world and so I did a lucidity check and and it failed! So what did I do? Of course, put the mask on and went back to sleep. I then had a false awakening removed the mask and then awoke for real.

Wow, I am blown away! I was hoping for maybe 1 LD a week but with this it’s gonna be alot more than that!

The good thing is that it is really effortless in alot of ways. The only thing I had to do is:

  1. Work the settings until they are correct
  2. Replace the mask EVERY time it falls off and reset the delay
  3. Refuse to succumb to the “it’s too uncomfortable to sleep” syndrome and PATIENTLY wait to fall asleep with it on

The expectation of lucidity is naturally at 100% and the device fills in the lucidity cue!

I have had LD’s where I was at a “higher level” of consciousness – so this is what I am going to devote my time to now: Exercises to expand lucidity consciousness

Because I am so impressed with this device I am posting the link to the REM Dreamer official site so nobody misses it:

It’s the best 135 Euro you’ll ever spend!

PS I have the feeling people may suspect I’m some sort of plant I have a luciidity site that may help to prove otherwise, plus I live in the US

Man I’m happy!

Dang I wonder if this is going to get annoying and when I should stop. But here’s my report for my 4th day:

I remember 2 dreams from 2 different REM periods but I don’t remember any flashes. I also set the delay to 3 hours instead of 4.

When I awoke I checked the device and saw that it had flashed 21 times and I only remember 3 of them being while I was awake.

So, I assume that the flashes were very early on in the dream (harder to recall) and even possibly too short to manifest as dream content. So I doubled the length of the flashing and the beeping. For those of you following along at home that would be 48 seconds.

See you after my next launch!

Ok I had an idea that I might move my report log to it’s own topic and I’m hoping this won’t become even more annoying…

If anyone is following my progress with the REM Dreamer see the topic in this sub-forum entitled:

Reyth REM Dreamer Log

If I get nailed for being annoying I will post as such in this topic otherwise I will be posting all further reports there.

Hey I have a question, when you wake up, how do you check how many times the deviced has flashed?? also I’m having hard time setting the flashes not to be very bright because they wake me up!! how do you set them??

Please see my Reyth REM Dreamer Log in this topic sub-category.

Because of the mixed reviews from the “Nova Dreamer” wouldn’t it be more cost effective to build your own contraption, or have someone flash a light at you whilst sleeping. If your results are good enough to spend the 400$ on then go right ahead:)

moved to existing topic from different forum. apparently the novadreamer has been discontinued :moogle:
Is it any good?
I really want to have more LD’s .

Should i get one?

I saw on the discovery channel recently the human body show that mentioned lucid dreaming and had a clip with the nova dreamer. I have come to find out that they are no longer produced. I would really like to purchase a sleep mask like this but I’m not sure where to look or whats good or not. All the people in my house are interested in this so any help in finding a product similar to what the nova dreamer was is much apreciated.

Hi Cfrisch, welcome to the forum

I’m afraid that it’s not allowed to link directly to sellers on the forum, so a reply directing you to where you could buy these products would have to be removed.

The only thing I can suggest is if you take a look at the the BIG how-to-make-your own dream goggles. You can make your own

try ebay

You can also trying looking up the REM-Dreamer on Amazon.

Isn’t there a new NovaDreamer coming out soon?

I think so, but the site has been saying that for like a year…

There are rip-offs of the Nova Dreamer is the good news (like the Kvasar!), the bad news is you have to be an f***ing electrician to put it together, reading schematics and using a soldering gun etc. but they only cost $20. I don’t know why they stopped making them but I can’t wait for the new ones.

Alternative Dream Mask or Kvasar!
Both require a lot of assembly and the first one doesn’t sense REM like the Nova Dreamer it just flashes light into your eyes around when you’re REM sleep should occur but that varies from person to person and also it won’t know the exact time you fell asleep. In addition it looks really gay.

The REM-Dreamer has 2 methods, while the Novadreamer just uses 1…also it’s cheaper, just checked on Amazon

EDIT: Yeah I know I sound like a salesperson, sorry

I got the following information from Dream Views
dreamviews.com/community/sho … hp?t=22821

I don’t understand what the snooze mode is. Does that mean you have to set it every ten minutes to get it to shut off? How long does the snooze mode last? It usually takes me between one to two hours to fall asleep normally every night, so I don’t want to reset it every hour.

Has anyone else recently bought the REM dreamer? There is an upgraded version available.
