on a non LD related books i’m reading catching fire i forgot the author atm though its the sequel to the hunger games

I just read an awesome book put out by Cory Doctrow of BoingBoing in 2007. It reminds me of 1984 a bit, but instead of just predicting a downfall, it shows a kid’s effort to reverse the changes taking place in the city around him. As time goes on and these National Security types keep getting crazier, the actions in this story keep getting closer to reality, and I think the book was written in such a way as to highlight that. In any case, I picked it up earlier today at lunch, thinking it might be an interesting read, and I couldn’t put it down until I had finished it cover to cover. Definitely something I recommend you read.

It’s available free online in almost every conceivable format here.

I stopped all other reading and directed all my attention to Darkly Dreaming Dexter.

The 4th season finale was AWESOME.

I’m currently reading Forest Mage of the Soldier Son Trilogy by Robin Hobb (Megan Lindholm), it’s a very exiting book!

I’m reading Art of dreaming by Carlos Castaneda

The First King of Shannara
by Terry Brooks

a fantasy book from the saga of Shannara

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Summer Reading Assignment.

Hope it’s a good book.

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge and Howard Rheingold. I haven’t read this book seriously for roughly a decade at least. I’ll never forget the day I first saw LaBerge’s first book in the Decatur Library (sigh)

I’m reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. He has a quirky imagination that I love.

None at the moment, but I’ve been trying to find John Green’s “Looking for Alaska” for several months now. I really want to read it again.

Go figure, it’s due to be returned at the library on the day that I leave for camp. xD

The book that’s got most of my attention right now is When the Air Hits Your Brain by Frank Vertosick Jr. I’m also continuing The Histories of Heredotus by -of course- Heredotus with a relatively slow pace, and I read House Rules by Jodi Picoult whenever I feel like reading something in English (the other two are tranlations to my native language).

I’ve practically been robbing my local library

Read:

Dune, Frank Herbert (Three thumbs up)
2001, Aurthur C. Clarke (only book with a better movie)
2010, Aurthur C. Clarke (Cool ideas)
I, Robot, Issac Asimov (I understand Asimov’s robots)

Reading:

Brave New World, Aldus Huxley

Next on list:

Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert
The Vampire Lestat, Anne Rice

Blush*

Terry Brooks is awesome

Anyhow, right now I’m reading Black Cross[/u][/i] by Greg Iles. Fantastic book, recommend it to anyone who likes a good thriller.

Yesterday I finished, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Now I’m reading The Wizard Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self. Robert Waggoner. 2009. He speaks of the LD mind as being much more than just a playground but an arena of self discovery…or maybe non-self discovery. He makes reference to this site. That’s how I found it.

That is awesome that he made reference to ld4all! What a cool way to find this place. I still have to read that book.

I just finished reading a thrilling novel called Killer Dreams by Iris Johansen. There are some evil guys who pretty much want to control the world with a mind control drug called REM4.

Well now I am so happy to have recently found my first book that lead me to relearn how to lucid dream. It is called DREAMS and What They Mean To You by Migene Gonzalez-Wippler.

With this book I truly learned so much about sleeping and dreaming. It’s not entirely about lucid dreaming, but of course there is a section on controlling your dreams. This would have to be highly recommended reading materiel in Lucid Dreaming School.
It’s great to be reading this book again. I’m already having different kind of vivid dreams, and sleeping better.
