Week 5: Laughter and Love
The children have been playing happily in the playground, but now some kind of squabble has broken out. Sides are being taken, the name-calling has begun. You consider stepping in to keep the peace.
Behind you, someone yells “Cut!” The children stop, frozen in time.
You turn to see several people holding professional video cameras, aiming lights at the scene, and one guy holding a big fuzzy microphone on a stick. Lounging in a director’s chair, waving a megaphone, is a familiar looking figure: Obfusc8.
He gestures for you and the other lucid challengers to gather around.
“Right, it’s the final week. Even those of you at the top of the score board still have tasks left to attempt, so have a good look through and make sure you pick up any easy points you can.”
Obfusc8 pulls out a piece of paper and prepares to read the new set of tasks… and then screws it up and throws it aside. Instead he pulls out a beer mat with some hastily scribbled notes on it.
“So it was brought to my attention that certain things were missing from the side missions, so here’s where I pretend that was my plan all along… and finish the lucid challenge on the topics of Romance and Comedy. After all, what’s life without laughter, and love?”
