the BIG "Hi, I'm new here!" topic part 60

This is Part 60 of the big “Hi I’m New Here” topic. The previous part can be found here. All links to previous parts including the “shake hands” topics can be found in this post.
Keeping all the intros in one topic prevents us from having thousands of individual “hello, I’m New” topics and keeps the forum from getting cluttered up. :content: Anyone is welcome to post here :user: , new and old members. So don’t be shy :peek: , we don’t bite :wolfbite: .
(please remember to not carry on long chatspeak conversations in here, we have a wonderful private message system, chatroom and playground for that  )

Hey, I’m interested in lucid dreaming and astral projection. I’m very new to these two areas, but I’m sure my knowledge will grow considerably in the coming months. I’ve had some lucid dreams in the past, but it was not until recently that I learned that I can have lucid dreams, and it was not just subject to chance. Thanks for having this forum up and I hope this is the beginning of something great!

oh, it’s definitely something great here. :welcome:

good luck in your quest for LD’ing/AP’ing! :lucid: :astral:

 hello Redbeard and welcome to the forum

There’s a wealth of information and first hand experiences for you to discover in the forum topics  I know I enjoyed browsing all the old posts when I first joined
We have a big first LD collection topic in the dream journal forum if you remember your very first LD :content:

Hi, I’m new here. I’m looking forward to making some new friends as well as learning about lucid dreaming. I had my first lucid experience in my last dream. I was telling a joke and then when I came to the punch line I said “I don’t know what comes next… might be because I’m dreaming”. I got excited and knew I was about to control my dream but then woke up.

Edit: also I would like to add, this is the prettiest forum I’ve seen.

:welcome: Scottirvine to ld4all, and congrats on your first LD :cool_laugh:

Thank you very much to say that :colgate:

:welcome: welcome to LD4all ScottIrvine :grouphug: I hope you enjoy your time here.

I love the way you realised that you were dreaming :content:

Congrats on your first LD :yay: … the first lucid experience is often fleeting but amazing

hi everyone, i’m assuming this is where i would post this. just wanted to introduce myself. my name’s jessica and i’m from ohio. i first tried lucid dreaming three or four years ago, but never stuck with it and am starting again as of today.

Hey everyone!
I’m new. I’ve been very interested in lucid dreaming for about a year now. I’ve been looking for a good site to communicate with other lucid dreamers and to just be able to talk to people who are interested in the same thing as me. I’m glad to have joined the website and I’m looking forward to talking to you guys . And I’m sure I’ll be on every day

[the BIG "Hi, I'm new here!" topic part 60) no need to repost there since mods can easily move it into the topic

:welcome: all the new dreamers, this forum is a great place, with a great community. Though you’ll have to watch out for the Ghost :scared:

Hello there!
I am not really new, I have been a member for a long time but I did not use the website so much yet. I forgot about lucid dreaming and had other interests for a while.
But, this week I found a serie of video`s on youtube about Lucid dreaming, in which suggestions where given in how to become lucid.
It awakened my interest in lucid dreaming and I tried it. And right away, the first night I had a lucid dream! I loved it!
I had always thought that my first goal would not be flying but something else, but, in this dream I thought differently so that is what I did, flying.
And some other things too
I had some difficulties though in keeping/making the dream vivid. Most of the time my enviroment was greyish, and surroundings where almost not there even if I wanted to. Only for some moments it was vivid and clear. I tried to will nice landscapes and such, and other things, but it was more difficult.
I found out that it seems to need the same level of focus as when your awake and trying to visualize something.

Anyway
I came back since I am trying again.

Next to all of this I am a 25 year old woman, I am an artist and I made a boardgame with friends, which I love doing.

Greetings,
Little snowfox/Eerin from the Netherlands
