slight clearification on the external links in sig rule:

Links in sigs are allowed ONLY within the forum.
For example: links to your DJ, favourite topics, etc.

To make it clear: this means no mention of outside URL’s as well.

Don’t post PM’s in the forum where everybody can read it. This is very disrespectful towards the person who sent you it. If he/she wanted to have it public he/she wouldn’t have made it a PM.

This goes for quoting chatlogs on the forum as well. Unless you have permission from the person(s) you cannot post a chatlog on the forum. [size=67]Note, this doesn’t go for wolfgame, if you are playing in wolfgame, everything you say can be used against you [/size]

With chatspeak we mean posts that consists of only one smiley, a “me too” comment, or “i agree”.

With chatspeak we also mean one line conversations in a forum topic. Please use the chatroom or an instant messenger if you’d like to chat with someone.

In short: annoying, useless bumps to a topic. Please try to put some content in your posts. Spam/chatspeak bumps can be removed without warning by the moderators.

Your sig shouldn’t be longer than 3 lines in a 1024 x 786 resolution. If you aren’t sure, resize your window or change your resolution to check.

I have updated the rules a bit with more explanation.

an addition about the no drugs rule:

Drug related posts are also not allowed. This includes comments in dream journals.

This is because drugs and LD have nothing to do with each other, and since some people want to become lucid so bad, it could incite them to try drugs in the hope of getting a LD, which is absolutely not the goal of this site. Therefore we have strict rules about drug related posts. It has been ugly in the past, so this rule had to be added. Also, every post about drugs tended to end up in a very heavy pro and against drugs discussion.

Spam is promoting your someone else’s stuff, wether it is commercial or non-profit.

A topic that the mods consider spam will be removed without warning. If you persist posting the same message this can result in a ban.

• Asking peope to gather material for your site / speech / project
• Announcing you have a novadreamer for sale on ebay
• Asking for people to participate in research / polls, etc [color=red] (exception is the lucid lab - start an experiment)[/color]

• Asking people to write a review / asking for feedback about your own site/product.
• Asking people to vote, rate a page, to join a tribe or help getting an i-pod

Another addition, added some more explanation to several subjects:

Flaming is not tolerated. Period. This goes for PM’s as well as forum posts. If you feel harassed by a forum member please do not hesitate to contact a moderator.

Bumping a topic is considered BSP (blatant self promotion) and it is annoying when you expect something new in a topic when instead it is a meaningness reply.

Please comply with all the rules and don’t argue with the mod that ask you to follow them.

please do not complain publicly on the forum about a decision from the moderators. You can PM the moderator or the admin if you disagree with something.

If you have constructive feedback or suggestions about something you are welcome to post about it in the feedback forum.

These rules are here for a reason, and they change when such a change is deemed necessary. Remember, you are in someone elses home and therefore you are asked to follow the houserules.

If a Mod has to give you 3 warnings, you are banned. No exceptions. Temporary bans may be placed for minor offenses. Though a major offense may lead to a permanent ban with no warning.

After 3 months of good behaviour a previous warning is waived and you have a clean slate again. (This means 6 months for 2 warnings).

There seems to be a new trend of quoting the entire previous post and then add a one sentence or chatspeak reply. So I have added something about this in the rules.

Do not quote the whole previous post and then add a 1 sentence reply of your own. If you must quote, only quote the relevant parts of the post you are replying to.

Spam is promoting your or someone else’s stuff, wether it is commercial or non-profit.

• Announcing you have a novadreamer for sale on ebay (or you have seen one for sale)
• Asking for people to participate in research / polls, etc (exceptions can be made for research projects related to lucid dreaming. It is advisible that you then start an experiment in the Lab forum)
• Asking people to participate in interviews/articles/reports
• Asking people to write a review / asking for feedback about your own site/product.

This is an international community, to keep the open atmosphere and the “4 all” spirit, we ask you to post in the forum’s language, which is English. If you do post something in another language, please always provide a translation.

So to clarify, it must not be anthing for which a prescription is required. Plus we are an international forum so bear in mind that while you may be able to freely buy it in your country, it may be prescription only in other countries.
